Default Temporary tag when shipped from another state?

I just have a question fot the people that had their cars shipped from another state.I just got my car today.Looks great. It shipped from Iowa to NJ.When you got your cars, did they have a temporary tag?I do not know if it is supposed to have one. This sucks now because DMV is closed and I will not be able to drive the car until I get it registered and get plates.Just wanted to see if you got a temporary tag. Thanks for the info.John

How was the car shipped?? was it shipped on a flatbed truck?? If it was, there would not be any temp plate on it.. You'll have to take all the paperwork to DMV in the morning.. make sure you have your insurance cards showing you have insurance.. Some states will issue a 15 or 30 day temp tag but in your case there might not be one..

Good Luck.. another day won't make a big difference.. Just make sure you have everything you need as monday is a holiday..

Ok.I got the answer.I just got a e-mail from the dealer. He just forgot to put the temp tag in the car.The company shipping the car showed up unannounced,so he was rushing around trying to get everything together

I ordered my car from out of state, as did a friend of mine, and they both came with temp plates.
