08 Grand Touring Vs Touring?
I'm ordering my 08 this week & need to know following.
Is it worth the extra $ for Grand Touring?
Are there any photos that show "Rear Underbody Diffusers"?
Does car look much better with them? Can splash guards still be used?
Are the brakes that much better than the basic Touring?
I'm getting the car for $700.00 over invoice so guessing GT is way to go?
Thanks for your help & advice!

GT: supposedly lighter rims = minimally faster acceleration (but unless you're a professional driver...again...miniscule/imperceptible difference).
$700 over invoice? I'm thinking the dealers around here might be selling for a better price.

Brembo brakes are way better than stock ones. that would cost around $2,000 if u gonna buy em seperately.
but tbh, if u're not a track person, just go with the Touring, cuz i don't think GT worth the extra money.

Cool... so they are taking orders now... delivery time is what a month or so (45 days)? I plan on going in early January, receive the car when weather starts to improve... but ordering now... very tempting. Btw... Im going GT as well, I figure if I really HAVE to have the GTR and cannot afford to get it and keep the Z... then at least I will be able to sell a more fully loaded Z... though I doubt I could actually part with it. Also, thinking of cars I have owned so far, all bought used up till now... I have always wished they came with the top trim... extra buttons/anything makes me happy. :-)
Not a month seems to go by without a "Is GT worth it?" popping up. The verdict is always the same: Only YOU can decide if it is worth it for YOU. It was for me so I bought it. But I am not you.
So there you have it.
So there you have it.

I had the money to go for the GT or the Nismo. But instead went with the Touring. On the GT the extra was the brakes and wheels dont care to much for that. As for the Nismo I just didnt like the look of the rear and they had one in the show room but it wasnt my cup of tea. Plus 40k for no leather,no blue tooth, just spoliers, rays, and a shi*** radio, oh and before I forget the famous nismo plate so you could feel good about dishing out 40K. Not worth it.
I just purchased an 07 GT, i can tell you it is every bit worth the $$. The last thing you will want is to pay all that money for your 08 only to have a 08GT pull up next to you. You'll always wonder if you should have. If you got the cash.. Do it... Enjoy
$3000 for oem rays wheels? I dont think so. And as for the brakes price is not justified. I can get a set of aftermarket racing brakes including lines, calipers, pads, and cross drilled rotors for a better price. As far as wheels is concerned a set of nice Volks would do the trick and look better too.

Get a GT..... I own a 2007 Touring and wish I had not found a Touring for below dealer invoice. Dealerships in my area could not provide a GT without pre order (2-4 month waiting list unacceptable for me). In the end you can't go wrong with either choice. If you can wait, get the GT regardless of price for those awesome Brembos

I do not track @ all so I guess I'm better off with Touring & save $?

I'm also on the same boat as you. I placed my order for a Grand Touring at the beginning of this month and was told that it was be a 60-90 days waiting.
Yes, splash guards may still be used with the diffusers.

consider getting the car in Touring trim, removing the stock brakes and stock wheels. and start comparing, stock wheels+brakes = $$ ? and ray wheels+brembo = $$? then get the difference.
e.g. stock items = 3k, rays+brembo = 5k. then the difference is only like 2k. but dealership won't ask only for 2k, but they gonna rip you off by asking u to pay approx. 4k. got what i mean?
so, u better buy the Touring, get a nice set of wheels and a good braking system, and that would cost almost the same as getting the GT.
