I have a 2003 touring. If I had to do it over again, I would have gotten the enthusiast.
The leather is nice but the Bose is definitely nothing special at all.

Honestly, I think most touring owners will tell you to go with a touring. Most enthusiast owners will probably recommend going with an enthusiast.

The 03-05 enthusiast and touring each get different wheels but the 06+ all have the same set of wheels. So depending on the year, it really comes down to if you want the: 1) bose 2) leather 3) VDC.

"It will up the resale value"? Selling the 350z? That's maddness!

The leather/power/heated seats were a must for me. Also, I didn't want to go after market on the audio so the bose was a plus.

If money is an issue then go with the enthusiast and upgrade later, theres lots of destroyed z's in the junk yard to rip the seats out of.

as long as you have cruise control that's all that should matter! everything else can be swapped out but the cruise control!

The only things it has going for it are the leather seats, power seats and VDC. The BOSE system does sound nice, but nothing like high quality aftermarket speakers. The thing is, if you go with a BOSE system and then decide in the future that you want to do a brand new set of high-grade speakers with an amplifier, it will cost you more in the end.

Dunno about '07, but the '06 Grand Touring has all the features of the Track model... + some.

Rays staggered forged rims and Brembos... air diffusers... etc... yah. all that stuff. Stops... damb fast, corners better with the wider tires too.

I really think the guys that have probs with the Bose are into hip-hop and rap. My friend pimped his car out with a 2,000 watt stereo system with a 15 in sub in the trunk... holy crap. The Bose cannot move air like that... but my friend's stereo is over the top for me. I don't need to move THAT much air.

I had an '03 Touring and now have a '07 Touring. Either you like leather or not. The '03 Bose was a POS, but the '07 Bose is pretty good. I don't know when they changed it but it's much better now. The VDC in the Touring is worth having. I don't recall which trims have that.

High Intensity Discharge headlights as opposed to regular halogen headlights, come standard in Touring.

I will say that the only thing I regret is not having cruise control. It could be so helpful on long drives, because onthe highway my car begs me to go faster!!!!! The leather would depend on where you live, here in SC black leather seats will give you welts. I do agree with the guys when they say don't let the stock stereo make your decision for you because you can make the stock system sound great with adding a sub, and still look stock!!! I am not into hip-hop; however a stereo will never sound great without a sub. Hope this helps, for what it is worth I have only had the car 2 days so I am a "newbie"

The bose system sucks... Use the money you save getting an enthusiast to upgrade.

I'm not an audiophile and think the Bose is great although it seems I have to crank it up more than I want to hear all ranges. Everyone is different. Just take a CD with you and listen for yourself. The '06 touring Bose plays MP3 and I definitely think they sound better.

You're in a warmer climate, so I don't think you'll enjoy the heated seats as much as northerners would.

The main reason I bought touring(I didn't understand the value of VDC) was for the leather. I keep cars way too long not to get leather that will outlast the cloth seats for wear and looks. IMO

It depends on what is important to you, but I wouldn't spend much more just for the Bose alone.

I;m in the exact same position, looking for an 05+Z touring because I want the leather, wouldn't mind the Nav either.
