I just read a new japanese magazine. It is about how japanese understated or overstated the hp on their sport cars.
HP measure at wheels are...
EVO ~300hp
NSX ~270
supra ~290
and
R34 skyline ~330
Is that a good news for us?

Advertised HP and TQ for the 350Z is measured at the crank.
I say this because I saw chassis dyno charts comparing the Z to the S2000, Boxster S, and BMW Z3.
Happily enough the Z produces more rwhp and more rwtorque across the entire rev range than any of those competitors. I don't recall the actual numbers because I just glanced at the report but the peaks were not in the 280 range.
