Prior to getting my Z someone stole my last car, broke into 30 other cars (including a cop car that they stole a shotgun out of), drove my stolen car under the influence (drugs, not alchohol), ran from the cops, and then plowed my stolen car into the side of a car full of innocent bystanders at high speed. The prosecutor tells me there is only about a 30% chance the guy sees any jail time and will probably get off with a large fine.

I can't imagine that someone simply spray-painting a car would be taught any kind of lesson via the justice system, so it's good to see one of these guys get what they deserve thanks to the OP.

If you ever want to park at that gym again, you'll need this.

Seriously, love the revenge story, but you need to protect your Z. I'd get my hands on a two-way communications pager alarm and a proximity sensor set to four feet of circular range around your car. Park away from any other cars, and then arm it. When you're inside the gym, if anyone comes close, it'll alert you! Then, you run out there and go ballistic. Or, you run out there and see that it's a squirrel. But, either way it's worth it.

Interesting. So if the kid called the cops on you and a passerby confirmed his story to the arriving officer, they would've traced your plates and sent you a court summons. No one would've believed your side of the story and even if they did, "Intent to Vandalize" is not a crime, but vandalism is and in this case, you are the only vandalizer. It would've been a classic "my word against theirs" case. You would've lost.

Harsh, but true nonetheless.

why didn't you just call the cops as you chased them..get their license number etc?

Like now, they will want revenge. they know your face. They know your car. They will be on the lookout for you @ the gym or elsewhere.

to the above post, the cops dont do chit. If the people are gone, they are gone... "uhhh will write a report up about it" thats all they do.

Good work on chasing them down, i coudl see myself doing that. I wouldn't bring the Z back to that gym though. good work

haha... Nice ending! And the cops wouldn't have done anything since said vandals didn't do anything (yet) and it would have been your word against theirs. You did good imo!

I'm in a rush for class at the moment so I'm going to reply to only you at the moment bro,

My car is still pretty new, registration hasn't come in and so I have no plates. Which is why I didn't give a damn when I did it.

Second, even if I have lowered myself to their level, it felt pretty good to teach them than sending them a court notice.

Thanks guys for the props! I just feel that such Ahole's should be taught a lesson by karma and not some justice system. I mean, kids actually think it's cool for going to jail for such things so that they can tell stories to their "homies" when they get out. Very gay.

That is truly awesome. I don't think cops would have done much as others said. I would have also beat the crap out of them when i slapped the spray can out but at least you got them back. No one desrves their car to be vandalized because some ****** are jealous. I'm glad you taught them a lesson.
