Nissan is taking preorders for the 2008 model? I thought they werent coming out until Jan. My Nissan dealer told me that Jan 08 would be the release date. But what's the differance besides the new color? Still the same engine and preformance as the 2007. I'm assuming that you would get a better deal from an 07 than an 08. There still 07 Z's out there. I just bought my 07 Z 2 months ago and I did notice one thing. There were bearly any 6 spds. Most of the Z's at the 3 different dealers I went to only had automatic trannys. They had to have mine shipped from another dealer. I had to have a PPW Tourin with frost interior and 6 spd tranny.

 

Now that blue is sharp saw one in showroom other day!

I was at dealer today & changed my order from "Auto to Manual".
While there I looked @ the board with all the colors on it again.
The "Nogaro Red" does look much brighter than the "Redline".
I know I'm taking a chance buying this color without seeing it.
Thing is I go by gut feeling & I just feel it's gonna be great!
If there's metallic in the paint I will be happy could not tell from chip.

Frankly a Z looks great in all colors!

 

Good choice on the tranny The Z really does lose something with the automatic, IMO.
I'm hoping Nogaro is metallic. A friend of mine has an FD RX-7 painted in some strawberry red metallic color and it looks amazing.

 

I looked at the color chip in the sun, and I could not see any metallic in it. Looks nearly the same as Redline to me, although I didn't have a Redline color chip to compare with.

Went to the dealer today and they told me it was $1000 for the preorder and it would take roughly 3 months to get in.

 

i want to get a z now lol i been zless for liek 3 months i dont wwanna wait till dec for it thats too long of a wait, im just scared coz myabe the 08 will have somthign that i dont like.........maybe they added weight to the car like they did in 06. but i do wanna wait coz u never know they might put the g37 3.7L motor in there. this is whats going through my mind. should i just get a 07 or should i wait and see what the 08 is gonna be like. and if i wait and if i dotn like it. there wont be anymore 07s left. there r only 3 left in CALI, none in NV and 1 in AZ..........now u tell me theres only 4 07 white enth. 6mt with no options left in the states around me. what should i dooooooooooooo. im sooooooo lost.
