The cops have taken the fun out of the Z
I was stopped by a couple of cops late last night. I getting ready to argue the point and it turns out they want to look at the car!!!
Actually they were quite friendly - just a bit bored with a late night shift. The thing is we have so many cameras and unmarked cars now it really is likley you will get caught if you speed.
I went thru an industrail area that is largely unpopulated with long straight stretches and I really let it out. Glorious sound - hit about 110! Went past some factory workers at about 6500 rpm and all I could see was open mouths following the car. Did the same on the way back and they all cheered!
I cant help feeling that some speed in the right areas is safe but current laws dont allow for fun at all now. Sigh.

Kinda misleading title - I was expecting a flamefest
anyway, neat story, and i do agree, there just aren't enough places to realy let it out. I guess the track is the only real place to do it, but I don't think it would be quite the same. but I'll probably still head to a track when i get the urge to "let it out". I can't afford to get busted for soemthing like that.

Definitely get to a local road course or 1/4 mile if that's your bag...it doesn't have the same rush for sure, but I find it much nicer to romp around without all the extra worries.
