Default Exhaust Leak - Dangerous?

Im getting a buzz rattle while driving at certain rpms and it looks like the braiding on my Nismo y-pipe is leaking. I also noticed a distinct smell while exiting my car and began to wonder if this could be dangerous.

Any thoughts?

I wouldn't say it's dangerous. It's OK if the braiding is bend out of shape a little. It really shouldn't be bend unless bad install or hit something. Not much difference than what's coming out the back. Unless it's rolling out from underneath the car at ideal. So far as the buzz rattle in the RPM ban. That could be many factors. Might even be normal if it's an after market exhaust. Could be rasp or metal contact from vibration when there's back pressure built up.

Thanks, the braiding has scraped a time or two due to the car also being lowered.
