3) Your passenger mirror has to be setup similarly, but so that you can see your rear panel only when you move your head a little to the right.

The point of this setup is to have a nearly 360-degree view of your surroundings. It effectively gets rid of most blind spots, and allows you to see two highway lanes, which is incredibly useful for when you're merging/switching lanes.

http://www.cartalk.com/content/features/mirrors/ has a pictorial explanation. It takes awhile to get used but it almost totally eliminates the blind spots.

My Z isn't my DD. I alternate between it and my Prius. I tend to not take my Z into the rain, esp. now since my rear tires are due for replacement.

I drive mine exclusively when there is no snow on the ground. Yeah, the blind spots are nasty in this car but it's still a hoot to drive.

I DD mine and I noticed that only blind spot is on the passenger side! You get used to after a while though...just have to be careful changing lanes to the right!

GL with that lol. If last winter was any indication then you won't want to be driving your Z in Colorado.

So, if you sold your other car, what do you drive during the week?

i've gotten adapted to the blindspots and just naturally move my car in the angle i need to so i can see out of the tiny mirror behind the seats or so that i can just see out of the rear window.

I dd my Z. The blind spots sucked at first, but I started using my mirrors more and the little window behind me a lot more. It's not even a bit of a problem now. If you drive multiple cars chances are you wont get used to it.

It is really a bias poll. You have to take into an account the region and people age. When the car first came out in 2002 it was not a daily driven car. But as the car became more easier obtainable (cheaper as in used cars) it started to become a DD. More kids are buying the car, in which most of them are not going to have a 2nd or 3rd car, unless it is mommies or daddy's.

People who live in the south and west coast are more inclined to make the z their DD. People who live in the North east or Nort is more subjectable to snow. My z is not my DD. I have a beater I drive during the week and my Z come out mainly on the weekends. During the winter months my Z stays in the garage. It is really not worth sliding around on the highways.
