Default 350z rolled around in the dirt.

http://borninda818.com/rip/

crashed my 350z yesterday. Some guy on a ramp decides to brake suddenly (no clue why) I swerve and hit the curb, roll around in the sand, and land face up looking the wrong way...

...I've had better days...hope the police reports comes out in my favor. Pics on the site above.

Has this **** ever happened to you? you are behind a guy (about 2 car distances) and he turns into a ramp w/o braking and when he was on the ramp after making his turn he decides to slam the brakes. If I didn't swerve I would rear end and in California that is VERY expensive (ouch my neck). He did not stop.

sorry that happened to you man, your alive, thats more important.

hope it goes in your favor..... fixing that type of damage is costly, especially with a tweaked QP, and roof.
hopefully they total it

I think I'll get something else. I enjoyed it while it lasted, now i want something a little more chill. Plus my friends have some pretty nice rides if I ever need an adrenaline boost.

BTW i don't have a scratch or bruise on me. Aint that something?

Best of luck to you.....but it's a tough sell when you're the car that's behind. Failure to maintain safe following distance...etc...etc....

Cite me for what? I didn't hit anyone else I just made a mess of things. If I took the turn a little slower I could have prevented it but who would have though someone that is already on the ramp would hit the brakes instead of speed up? I don't know if he saw something in front of him or just wanted to **** me off. Maybe he wanted me to hit him so he could get a settlement. No clue.

That's kind of the point. You never know when somebody may need to slow suddenly. If you're controlling your speed appropriately and maintaining a safe following distance you'd still be able to safely avoid them. Not many people actually do that these days. But don't be surprised if the police report isn't in your favor.

That pains for me to see that. good luck with everything. I hate dealing with insurance and teh wait time of everything.

my friend was driving his car and some lady pulled out and just got scared and broke so he t-boned her. After the police report was all said and done, the next day, the insurance said it was his fault because there were no tire marks on the ground showing that he tried to stop. He was pissed. That's why insurance can go anyway. again, good luck.

I assume everyone in front of me can and will slam on the brakes. I also assume that people behind me might not be watching me when I brake. As for the person next to me? Sure, I know that dumbass might cut me off at any second. Trust NO ONE on the road. I always leave myself an out the best I can. If you metally prepare for this, you will be fine.

+1. I'm never worried about the person in front of me (i drive far away from them so i get no rock chips), i'm worried about the person behind me. I probably look at my rear view mirror everytime before i brake.

I have serious doubts that it won't be totaled. How did the dirt get in the engine compartment with the hood not being torn to shyte?

Wow, sorry about your wreck. Can't believe it sheared off the outer portion of the wheel. How fast were you going at the time.

Yeah, I hate the little old lady that stops as they are going on the freeway. In LA people just freak. You have to watch for that.

I'm amazed that the Z fared the roll over so well. Glad you are OK. At least I didn't read that you got hurt. I hope your OK.

Yeah, I'm like the other guys on here and try to stay back to minimize rock chips. It also gives me that extra space to stop. In LA that asking to be cut off. I just let them go ahead and move on up the road. I'm not in that much of a hurry to save 2-3 seconds in traffic. I'll be moving down to Glendale for a six month job soon maybe ... I'm taking the truck and I'll fly home and drive the Z in the Bay Area on weekends. ;-) LA sucks during the work week traffic.
