Congrats, you will likely find this forum much more fun than E46. I expect to see your getting used to the car stock. Especially since no worthwhile mods are really out other than gears.

Funny how BMW owners were saying people didn't like 350z drivers.

 

Well, the forum is very elitist over there. I was noticing the same thing from some (very few) of the mustang guys in that thread shifty made about my time. Unfortunately there are more very stubborn guys on the BMW boards that just hate Nissan. Mostly because Nissan is BMW's copy-cat to an extent here lately (I know not completely intentionally, but....the variable valve lift for example is awful suspicious).

 

Hey Tyler whats up. I remember comment about your Z in a HPF thread. Yeah I had a Z4 back than, but things have changed. Its funny at E46 they go crazy and think the HPF kit is god, when the Z will do that with out braking a sweat for that much money lol.

Yeah lovin the car a lot.

 

That kit is absolutely sick. And the weakness is tire size. But regardless I've found the Z to be a much better car.

Just get your tranny replaced under warranty once or twice and everything else seems to hold up

WOW...just noticed the window sticker dropped the EPA mileage.

Mine reads 20/27 and I thought it seemed REALLY high for some reason. I can't stretch 27 on the highway unless I go under 60

 

I Usually get 32-33 MPG on the highway at 65MPH with cruise on.

 

That means nothing to me.....you don't have an HR.

My point (and I'm actually wondering if there would be a possibility for repercussions because of this) is that I cross shopped other cars, and one of the reasons I picked the Z was based on it having better gas mileage (ratings). Because they switched motors YET failed to update the EPA ratings I was mislead by 3 mpg. I drive 15,000 miles per year.....Thats $350 more a year in gas, which does add up. Its a grand over 3 years. I was comparing ownership costs of cars, and being a student planning to own the car for 3 years, the extra cost means I have less money for other things....

It just frustrating they'd basically lie about the fuel economy rather than post "not yet tested"

Wrong... he went in for an '07 Enthusiast but ended up with a great deal on an '08 Base. And the title doesn't say what model it is...
