nice, except for the fact that are you sure that mount allows close to zero G in x and y axis?
If you don't adjust it, the measurement won't be accurate.
you can check out the positioning in the calibration menu

That looks great!
My only suggestion would be to c'sink the holes and use flathead screws instead, for a smoother look. You might need to go to a thicker sheet of aluminum, or c'sink the material behind the AL to allow clearance for the screw head, though.
I have a question about the G-Tech: can you hook it into a laptop and record laps and stuff?

Theonly real problem to these are the fact that you don't know the actual weight of the vehicle... my data plate on the car says 3800, but I have 19's and larger tires on now....
I'm guessing what the weight is...

N74 yer my hero.. always coming up with creative ****
Anyway, there's no way the car weighs 3800 lbs.. that could be the MAX weight if anything. My perf model weighed in at 3380 with me in it, at the drag strip. So that's about 3230 curb.
Let us know how the unit itself works... I've actually had the Tazzo Motorsports unit for a while. And it was pretty nice, but wasn't always accurate. Plus after a while I just got bored of it, so I returned it.

Hehe,
Tranny and leather seats won't weigh an extra 600lbs
http://autos.yahoo.com/newcars/detai...g/printer.html
That says 3200/3300... but you can do a search for "350z touring curb" and they all come up around that region.
Keep up the good work.

I'ts something like 9-13 lbs more than a manual.
You don't have VDC so the only extra weight will be from your seats the Bose and the after market wheels. I would wager that your not much heavier than a perormance.

yeah.. your right... I did some more reading and found that the Auto tranny is in fact about 10lb lighter than manual....
I learn new $hit every day!
So in the end, I'm maybe 100lb heavier than a Track model.

ND,
Do you have a dump or refuse X-fer station nearby?
The one near my house has a scale to weigh incoming trucks, so I brought my car there one day and found that it weighed 3400 with me and about 12 gallons of gas.
The scale has a resolution of 20lb and an accuracy of +/- 20, so it was a pretty easy way to find out the approximate weight. Plus it was free, too. Although all the pickups behind me were wondering what the hell I was doing at the dump in my sportscar.

This new unit has 3 accelerometers whereas the first one had only one.
There are now one for each axis. This version is much more accurate. Ont he first version any lateral or vertical bumps or errors were not detected thus accuracy was compromised.
With the addition of the other 2 axis sensors, the unit can "feel" any lateral or vertical movement and adjust the numbers accordingly.
I've not matched it's numbers up against track times, but others have and report it's accuracy is pretty good...
The key is to input the vehicles exact weight....
This unit is back lit blue Indiglo.
