What are the main differences between the 07 and 08. also has anyone driven both yet and can tell us if there is any difference in drive quality.

Wow.. lemme try to wipe some retard off this thread and add some real questions...
So. I ordered my 08 last month. Did it at the dealer... we had to use the 07 config guide because they hadn't received their updated material for 08s yet.
I choose: 6-speed Manual, GT, Side Airbags, Kick plates, cargo.
No Navi. (will do that my self).
They called it into the ordering center and confirmed the options/placed
the order while I was there. Neat.
Today I went to www.nissanusa.com (because I'm obsessed) and see that the 2008 Z is on there to "build". Cool.
When you choose the GT now, and 6-speed manual, You MUST also include the Navi-Side and curtain airbags. I unchecked the Navigation and it tells you that will force the config to be a 5speed automatic :-/
It also looks like if you de-select the airbags it removes the navi.. weird.
I went for the side curtains cause any safety I can get is a plus...
On average a manual transmission is cheaper to purchase then an-automatic. I assume that they force the manual GT's to come with more options so that you spend just as much money as the automatic... It's probably a matter of them cutting costs by limiting config options..who knows.
I'm wondering if my 08GT will come with a Navigation option... even though I didn't order that part.. would be neat supprise I guess.

I have 08MB 6MT with Nav Bluetooth.
Coming from 06 6MT. The 08 is much nicer, the whole car feels better smoother faster. When I was in my 06 the car would hop when you hit a dump. The 08 does not do that at all. Very cool.
The HR eng is one sweet Eng to have.

i test drove a used 04 & 06. then drove a new '08. there was no comparison....the '08 was like an entirely different car from the used ones. i could not tell any difference betweeen the '07 and '08s. i ended up paying $1500 more for an '08 -vs- the '07 earlier this month (no dealer incentives on the '08s).

If your 08 comes with a Nav system, can you remove it without goofing up anything on your dash? For that matter, if someone bought an 07-08 without Nav, could it be added at a later date?
