used 350z buyers beware
I purchased my car used, about 3 weeks ago from a infiniti dealer. A 05 MT z. Test drove it with brake problems (grinding) and i noticed dashes on one of the guage layouts. Well ofcourse i wasnt aloud to take the car that day. Got a sick 07 g35 tip tronic to hold onto while they got the car ready though. The point?
Just took my car in to a nissan dealer, to find out whats up with the dashes on my tire pressure sensor guage (instead of numbers). Come to find out, the car at 32,000 miles has never been serviced (at nissan), the tire pressure sensors are ALL gone, and ofcourse because i am not a car freak, missed the fact that they put brake pads on my ride (instead of vented discs?). Oh and they didnt touch up the nicks in the paint.
The point is, know what you are buying and be prepared for these short cuts (cheap parts), or lack there of.
Personally, i dont feel bad, i was in a tight spot and i think they knew it.. My old car was about to break down and i had to buy a car soon or dump money into a, crappy, old, high milage, cheap, ride.

watch out for a grinding transmission too! they gonna get you sucka!
Sounds like a used car.
Just because Nissan doesn't have service records doesn't mean the car hasn't been serviced. My 35k if the oil hadn't been changed I would be very surprised if the engine hadn't seized.

This is why I bought my used Z from carmax (my first Z was new). They give you a grace period of 30 days where they can fix literally anything that you find wrong with the car. If I didn't have that period, I for one would be one pissed Z owner.
Here's a list of problems that my Z had but made it to the showroom floor:
-Subwoofer glitches
-Paint chips on fender (they tried to buff it out but ended up burning the paint so they repainted the entire fender and matched my door)
-new wipers all around
-Loose exhaust that rattled (they tightened it but shortly after installing my TP's the pipe snapped off in between the muffler and y pipe and was forced to purchase my aftermarket)
-Bunch of other random things
Since I've had all these problems fixed, I've had nothing but a perfect car. I've owned both a brand new Z and used Z and I can honestly say it was worth saving the $15k and going through a little headache here and there.

i bought my 03 touring and had no serious problems. Nissan took care of my clicking differential and a loose handle on the door panel. your problems are very minor considering it's a used car. a lot of brand new cars have more problems than your used z.
