Unhappy Dump truck rains down asphalt on my Z

Windshield cracked, front bumper scrapped up, passenger side fender and door scraped up, hood scrapped up. Nice huh? Got the plate #, truck # and name of the trucking company. Guy would not pull over, didn;t even hear my horn or my screaming. Called DPS since it was BAD I mean all the cars around me scattered to the far left lane to get away. Could have been a real nasty pile up.

People like this should be whipped with a stick. I am going after the truck company with my insurance (hurray Geico) and taking them for atleast a new bumper and windshield.

As for the rest of the damage maybe a good compounding will do it. I am getting an estimate tomorrow or the day after.

you should have done a "fast and the furious" and climbed up the side, lol...Good luck. At least you got all the info, imagine not having any info to give to your insurance

Wow. I would've pulled in front, threw the flashers, and proceed to halt his *** while on the phone with the authorities.

This was a HUGE truck, heavy hauler man, I didn't think to try and slow him down, it was hard enough getting all the info from the front.

Bummer....I had a similar experience and I almost caused a freeway pileup as I pulled in front of the rig and almost slowed to 30mph, driver finally had to pull over. His insurance had to pay approx $3800.00, I insisted on taking the car to the dealer and we all know how they rape us on OEM parts (Nissan windshield $945.00) for Z cars. Z cars have a 3 stage paint system $$$$$. I took mucho pictures and called the cops, the trucker was pissed.

Bottom line I was the victim here

Such a damn annoying thing. I was crawling along on the on-ramp when a large gravel truck goes whizzing by while I am getting up to speed bouncing huge gravel stones all over my car. Fortunately I was going slowly and had clear light protection, so only a few chips.

I finally see the truck take a bend around as I exit and basically a few tubs of gravel come bouncing down the highway as I go by. I can only imagine how much more damage this trail of rocks was still doing for the rest of the commuters.

This has almost happened to me far too many times. The majority of the truck drivers don't give a damn. I seem to attract the trucks with liquid tar/asphalt dripping out the back, or cement trucks or dump trucks leaking liquid cement.

Very sorry to hear this. What is DPS? Did you call 911 and read the truck's plate info and company name etc to them? If you did, then from a legal standpoint, that will help you A LOT. The recorded tape will be stamped with date and time of the call and the trucking company's attorney will have a tough time playing it down as a hoax from you to claim money from them.

I had allmost the same thing happen to me a year ago, but it was luckily in my Pathfinder, and not the Z. This big flatbed truck in front of me on the freeway dumped all these golfball sized rocks on the road in front of me, and one smashed into my windsheild. I was able to get the company name and truck number off the side of the truck.

Long story short, the contractor company refused to pay for my new windshiled, so I called up my attorney, and had him draft a short one page letter, and sent it to the truck company. One week later, I got a nice fat check in the mail.... SCORE!

One time I had was behind a flatbed truck and a car battery fell out...that was after I dodged several wood blocks. Luckily it wasnt in the Z, I was in my old 88 prelude, and it skipped right over the top and made a HORRIBLE sound. I had to chase him down, and his only concern was his stupid battery! Someone probably died hitting that damn thing after I strattled it. some people....

lucky no damage to my car.
