I bought mine that very same day. I'm at 16,6XX. The only problem I'm having is that somtimes the hatch wont release.
WELLLLLLll now its like 34,014-15 juss got back from school....but it didnt turn 34k RIGHT when i pulled up..it was like half a mile ish? but yea its weird
Reading this thread because im looking for a 06, and damn there are alot of you having problems before 40k miles, its not very promissing on quality. And this by all means is not a bash, I love the z and will still get one anyway, but just didnt expect to see some many issues with the car.

about 5k...i could have put more miles but i cant afford to pay that much on gas...i barely drive the car but when it comes out, i make sure its worth the trip
I bought my 06 Daytona 5AT Nov 2005 and Stillen did their magic the next summer (Eibachs, i/c supercharger, cai etc etc...) she's just passed 115,000km (abt 70,000 miles) - love to drive it (obviously!). Very pleased with the beast.
