Seattle Area 350Z pre-Owners
Yonker gave me the best service by far. I ended up ordering from Pacific Lincoln Nissan because well... I thought it was one of the largest Nissan dealers at the time. I also pre-ordered back in April 2001. They never told me how many people they had on their "waiting list" at that time but since they had something I agreed to put $500.00 down on it. I made sure to wrap up everything in writing @ MSRP and the people seem "okay" on service. I just want my car in good condition without all the other crap attached (car wash, etc). I want the ability to choose the options I want and I don't want to get gourged - that's why I did my duedilegence early instead of waiting because I had the faith.
I personally don't think my dealer would screw me. They are selling Range Rovers now in their dealership and calling themselves an Auto Super Store or something like that now. Since they have so many brands under one roof I can guarantee I'll make them look very bad through Better Business as well as people I'm in contact with if they do me wrong. I have a nice plan covered lawyer waiting in the background should I step into a mine field getting to my Z... this car is my destiny.

hehe, been a long time since i've posted here. has something to do with a ton of new members posting faster than i can keep up with. also, i've realized that the car was too high on my priority list in life, and i've been trying to keep things in perspective.
after all, when you break it down, it's just a car, right? wish i could have seen that earlier . . .
yes, younker has been good to me. i mean, i usually know more about the car than they do (b/c of this site), but they are always helpful and pretty honest (i think). the fleet manager, tom goodfellow, takes my calls and goes through his latest info from nissan to give me the update. i ordered in early february by going through the nissan dealers in yahoo yellow pages in the seattle area, and younker was one of the few willing to sell it to me over the phone and fax at MSRP. i can't really complain.
i'm at home in new york right now, but i'll be getting to seattle on august 17. i'll be living in seattle, in the fremont area. since i know nothing, what's that area like? looks like there will be a lot of Zs in the seattle area.

Wow, is this news that dealers are playing games?
Marcy: $500 refundable deposit; MSRP exact; signed buyers order with "refundable" written on order with tax, license only added and totaled; Yes, two slots were added from original; Manager showed me the fax with two slots available; He had called NNA to confirm these were pre-order; Faxed order while I was there; received Nissan Packet 3 weeks later with number - I am in the system; on May31 dealer said I was at the end of the pre-orders expect late in program - obviously.
Would never go to a dealer for repairs except if mandated.
Walked out of Lynwood Nissan same day. Wanted $2000 non-refundable deposit.
Younker Nissan same deal as Town and Country but less convienient as I live in Woodinville.
I will get the Z when it comes or cancel the order and get another car if things go sideways. It is just a car (sorry to blaspheme).

You'll see me crusin' around Fremond!
I actually live on the North side of Seattle soon to move to the downtown area. If housing wasn't so rediculously expensive I may be buying a house and a car... interest rates are great but these home prices far outpace median income levels!
Anyway... gonna love the Z especially rollin' by the troll

Sorry rep15, I meant second week in september, maybe that was wishful thinking and that would be now..no car yet. I am hoping for the week of labor day, since I have that whole week off
If anyone in Seattle posts their VIN # please immediately alert the forum with VIN in Seattle or something like that. As soon as one of us gets a VIN we all should have Vins associated since the Z's are being assigned VINs as they leave port in Japan.

3RDPOWER, got my VIN, live in kenmore, bought at Nissan of fife, I don't have the email handy, but got it yesterday,so please check VIN soup either page 4 or 5, can't remember which one. Good luck to the rest of you guys and gals....I really hope you get yours soon, waiting is pure torture and frustration, BTW, my vin # is in the low 1400's, I am glad it is under 1500..ordered chrome silver/touring/frost/AT/splashguards/mats.
I ordered 4-20, silverstone perf.
Called Pacific Nissan for the first time today. They tentatively estimated Sept 2, said they didn't have VIN's yet. Asked if I was in the first shipment they were receiving and they said yes. How accurate is this tentative estimate? My guess based on Jan. orders was be Oct. or Nov.
Thanks.

Nissan of Fife has been very good in trying to help me with my quest for information. I am hoping my car will be here sooner.I have to start finalizing my financing and waxing my 90 300ZX to trade her in. Good luck with your quest, check with the new car fleet manager...mine kept me updated and emailed me before I was expecting to hear any news, I am relieved.

To make this as short as possible:
... How many of you have thought about the potential chapter of the My350z.com Car Club, one of the many chapters that will be starting up when everyone gets their cars?
To me, it looks like people such as marcZZZ, 3rdPower, rep15, and others could provide a great backbone for this club (to anyone I forgot about in this post - I'm sorry). I think this could be easily done for the small group of us, and I know for a fact we, as a group, can get track time at Pacific Raceways in Kent if we organized it. Also in the realm of possibility is SCCA Northwest Region meets and races.
... Some of you must be like, "I'm not gonna race my Z." I understand, but there's also some great trips and rallys we could organize, such as trips to Grand Coulee Dam and other places around the state that would prove great fun (I think). There's also other things that we can do better as a group, such as purchasing accessories.
I'm willing to try and make this a reality, but I'd need some help, and good participation. My car arrives in Vegas on the 28th, and I'll be back about a week later (long road trip back). If any of you are interested, please PM or e-mail me, or better yet, post a reply in this thread, so others can see the level of interest.
Hope to see we can do this - we can set the "bar" for my350z.com car clubs around the nation...

i'm not sure how much time i can commit to helping organize things, but i would definitely like to participate. maybe when i have a better idea of the time commitment for work, i would be more willing to help out.
hope you guys understand! it'll be fun though.
