I don't know about you, but I love the way my Z sounds. I rarely turn up the stock stereo, and don't plan on getting any aftermarket stereo just yet. I can live without one.

When you buy a sports car your buying handling, motor, trans that is it. If you want anything more your looking in the wrong direction.

The focus on sounds scares me a bit.....please...please.....please don't get some 20+ inch spinners for the Z and some monitors on the head rests (no use for it; no rear seats).....lol, j/k .
Z's are awesome, the stock bose system is ideal for the car. Who needs to break their eardrums and blast their stereo. The sound of the VQ is all the music I need

Whats funny in at the end of that video of top gear Clarkson's buddy names off some of the up coming competition for the Z and the 350z smacks all of them on a track or quarter mile. Rx-8, audi TT, and the chrysler. What a homo. I heard rumor that Nissan was late in getting Clarkson a test car for the show thats why he dissed it so hard. Everyone else on that show loves the Z even the other guy in that clip. In a later episode he test drove the Z roaster and loved it. While once again Clarkson's dumb *** just dissed it with the engine is too loud and too much bass in the sub woofer. Hello its a freaking sports car.

I can't even believe he mentioned Neon and MP3 players on a Z forum.
But, really, you can buy a $100 aftermarket stereo and install it if MP3 player is important to you. I also like the ability to put 20 or so CD's on a CD-R and switch between albums(as they are called in MP3 Players-Weird huh?) I make CD-R for the type of music I like. ROCK, JAZZ, Soft Rock, Techno, etc...
Then I just pop in the CD-R and skip through them. I'm actually liking that set up better than plugging in my iPod or Phone for music. Those cords drive me nuts and I have too many cars to set them all up with docks.
Lot's of holiday sales. I just saw a nice DVD/MP3 7" Touch screen today for $250. Now all I have to do is find a job so that I can buy it. Doh !!! This economy is really bad right now.
Anyone in the Bay Area looking for a IT Project Manager?

I have the bose system and when its cold out my cd player barely works. I have to agree that I would have thought the money we pay for this car we could get a good system. Oh, well. Like you guys said, buy an aftermarket headunit and be done with it. And who cares about a neon anyways, if you based you car on stereo you bought, you shouldn't probaby own a sports car, a neon will do just fine.

Well Its not make or break I just thought it would be a nice little perk.
I do have a Pioneer DEH-P7800MP that I took from my NEON and I will put it into this car most likely I just didnt want to mess with the stock setup really.
I will LIVE and I do love this car in every single way imaginable (way more than my faster SRT-4).
I love the engine sound but I dont mind rockin out to Tool/Led Zeppelin once in a while...
Thats all.

Yes, Nissan's aren't known for their stereos. That would be my only complaint as well. Clarion or Bose are both pretty mild as far as stereo systems goes in this car. Most $100 head units give you more features and better sound. I still have my stock Clarion in my Z with better rear speakers. That helped me out for the past couple of years. Now, I'm ready for that touchscreen with MP3, sub and amp. But, really most of the time the stock stereo is good enough for me with the upgraded infinity speakers I installed.

I bought an 07 Enthusiast yesterday, so no bose but still expected an Auxillary jack.
Its Ok I am going to have my Pioneer system put in and that should solve that problem. Its just so convienient to have 150 songs on 1 CD and now have to worry about constantly switching CD's.

Are the Bose systems in the Infinitis different than the Z's? My speakers sound pretty good... Although the head unit does make a racket. I like using the tapedeck and a old school discman car kit for my iPod. I've gotten used to having 6 cds in all the time and I like it.
