I love taking it out but I only take it out when I need to(this is totally my dream car) and I really hate putting mileage on it, but its such a blast to drive.
KP89, one word for you. I know this because I just went through this. insurance. Glad to see another young Z owner on the board. Got to stick together you know.

That is a lot of HP for a first car. Pleeeeease dont kill yourself.
ya all you guys are rite. I know insurance will be up the roof for a 16 yr old with a 2-door sports car. I just hope there will not b too many haters out there when i get it cuz im young. But my mind is definitely set on the Z
Does anyone here just go out driving to floss the z and nothing else??
Heck yes!! A sunny day and no chores, I like to get into the car and cruise the hills here in N. AL. Very little traffic and blacktop roads that go everywhere but straight. I'm not worried about miles because I didn't buy it to admire in the driveway. It's also a good time to listen to tunes and enjoy life.
What's the point of having this car if you don't enjoy it? I drive it for no apparent reason, and I take the long way home from everywhere just to prolong the drive. My favorite is driving somewhere completely random and finding somewhere, a town, a view, whatever, and putting it as a fix in the GPS. Then I'll come home and bring the wife out to that spot to show her. That way I get to drive even more!
I avoid driving it other times, however, when I'm going somewhere I refuse to park it: movie theater, 7-11, base commissary, or anywhere else that people have proven themselves to be door-opening or shopping cart-leaving buffoons.
