Yup... best bet is to contact your insurance agent. That would be the best person to advise you.
From my experience, what's gonna happen is after you talk to the agent for forever, they'll set up a date/time with you so one of their insurance adjusters can look at the damage and estimate what it's gonna cost. Since it's the other driver's fault, their insurance is responsible (but your's might cut the check and get reimbursed by them later). You take it to an authorized repair facility and they'll fix your car. If it comes out to cost more than the adjuste gave you, either the repair facility will let them know or you will need to. Also, same with damage... if more is found, report to your insurance. Expect your insurance to increase (even though it wasn't your fault, it still happened).

if it wasnt your fault your insurance shouldnt go up even if your insurer ends up paying. when i had my accident the women who hit me had no insurance. my insurer paid to fix my car. my ins. did not go up.

unfortunately the cops wouldnt come out because it was on private property.. they were the first ones i called.. there weren't any witnesses either which makes me kinda nervous.. i dont know, it should be totally clear..at least at the scene she was apologizing and admitted full responsibility
police report will show she was in the wrong, insurance agent to access the damage. Cut you a check. When I had damage accessed it was more than it cost me to fix so I made out with $500 extra

Again your insurance company should assist you in this matter.
Here's a tip: DO NOT CONTACT YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY.
Talk to hers first since she was in the wrong and do everything through them. The only way your should contact yours is if they try to claim it was your fault. In that case, your insurance company will fight against them.
Even if you're not at fault, if you contact your insurance company, they will start an accident profile on you and try to use it as an excuse to mess with your rate. They may label you as high risk even though, again, it wasn't your fault.

And just FYI, all insurers share databases. If a claim is filed with the other parties insurer, that information will be availabe to your insurer (and any other insurer)
Whn you are invoved in an acident, ragarless of who was at fault, it is the responsibility of YOUR insurance comapany to protect YOUR interests. As several others have already said, it is ESSENTIAL that you contact your insurer.

One other thing I forgot to mention is that if you do contact your insurer, they will not do anything for you until you pay them your deductible first. They will refund it once they recoup the costs from the other person's insurer (it may take awhile) but why pay $500 or so and wait for it to come back if you weren't at fault?
Again, go through the other person's insurer first. Do not admit any fault whatsoever, just explain the circumstances of the collision, and do not give them any information that could be used to hold you liable.

Right on target. Avoid contacting your insurance company and you give them excuse for refusing to provide assistance if something goes wrong and you contact them after the fact. You have insurance for a reason. Use it when it is needed.
I wonder how the case will come out if you have the wrong-doer admitting on a recorded cell phone. Would that be enough to swing it more your way. Just a thought since most if not all cell phone has a video record. I also know it's great to have a disposable camera in your car for stuff like this. Taking pictures of the accident, location, and their tags.
