i am going to try some Royal Purple Max ATF real soon and see how that

i suggest you get that trans cooler asap before you fubar your tranny

also, there's a guy on driver working on paddles for the G which should be out soon. Combined with a VB, it should prove very useful

Read into it whatever you want. Was a simple question ya bed wetter.
don't have to. you made your intentions quite clear with your first post. it doesn't matter if you are manual or auto and do modifications to yoru car. a simple search has shown that both are pretty equal with the amount of mods done to the car. it must matter to you since you made the post inthe first place.

is there a direct fit trans cooler available? or just universal type coolers
for our cars, curious.

when i auto-x the car tranny works fine and drag it works fine but
extended hard driving at Sebring it gives me trouble

^ Universal. Check out my Cooling Thread Link. Really easy. Just some hoses, fuel injection clamps, adapaters for the tranny cooler to fit the lines.

I have a 2006 with 5AT. Stillen s/c stage 3, Stillen strut brace, a/sway bars, adj fr camber arms, rear camber adj & toe links, Eibach Pro-Kit springs, rear wheel spacers, CAI, Stillen's dual path exhaust, had Stillen's instal their Autobox upgrade, got some DBA s&d fr rotors (BIG improvement over stock for little money), using Hawk Ferro Carbon pads (good but noisy) and braided s/s lines, the Stillen series II fascia and their sexy splitter, oh, and a cf hood .
some misc crap: engine damper, grounding kit, jdm clear front reflectors, 5 window tint and Nissan's mudguards.
I'm very happy with the result. The car does WHAT I want, WHEN I want. ( I think the auto/manual choice the trans gives me is useful, maybe not the best choice for road racing on a track but then I didn't buy the car to do that - IF I had that goal, I'd never buy a Z anyway.) bj

There are plenty of people who mod their 5AT's. I have exhaust, headers, test pipes, spacer, crank pulley, nismo cams, uprev reflash, and I will be swapping to a 3.9 FD (hopefully by the end of the year).

Mods below. Love the 5AT - don't feel the least bit bad about modding it.

I put down 250/227 on my 91 oct map. I'll probably redyno after I get my 93 oct map to see if it makes a difference. I did dyno @ 213 with just the exhaust though .

Besides the 19's, webasto sunroof, and a K&N drop-in, the only mod so far is probably the most important, a B&M Supercooler tranny cooler install.

If my work decides to pay me what I'm worth (i.e. bonus), then I'm looking into a Stillen S/C. No sense messing around with small stuff IMO.

(Yeah the K&N is small, but hey, I needed a new filter, the stock was dirty )
