How much do auto guys mod?
I'm curious as to how crazy auto guys get with modding their Z's. Seems like all the mad modders are manual guys. Are there people who have modded the p!ss out of their auto's. I'm not talking about the ones with 22" spiners but performance mods.

Unless I sell my Z (for a 911T) I will be FI within the next year. Right now I have cams/headers/cats/borla TD/Intake/emanage(may be going UTEC? dunno yet maybe Osiris)/Lowered/PIAA/sways/ rear diff swapped/TK bumper/CF hood/Matergrade hatch/ with more planned... that is unless I sell it.

I prefer manual over a/t, more throttle response...even though there isn't that much of a differece from a 0-60 pull. IMO its easier to control your shifts around a track in a manual than in a manu-matic. plus, i get bored easlily w/ AT's. i dont know, just my 2 cents.

In the end, it doesn't matter if it's a manual or auto. Both have their strengths and weaknesses and it's all up to the driver's preference

im mostly concerned with the visual appearance of my auto right now
later on i will be able to afford serious performance mods but will also have the money for a new Z
and when that time comes
im gettin me a manual :]

in manual mode when i can control the revs and have one less foot to
worry about its actually pretty good, only downside is after about 6-8 laps
it starts to heat up and not want to manually downshift on first/second
try of pulling gearshift-kind of disrupts my focus in braking zone and turn-in
i am going to try some Royal Purple Max ATF real soon and see how that
does, if not trans cooler is next step
