Is there a way to remove Track wheels without scratching lug holes?
I recently took my car in for an oil change and a clunking sound from the front left under braking. To inspect this problem, the front left wheel was removed. They tightened the swaybar on the left side and the noise is gone now.
Anyway, the problem is, there are now scrapes inside the holes where the lug nuts were removed and renistalled. Is this just something to expect? Otherwise, the wheel is fine.
Thanks,
Stu E.

If you can get them to remove the lugs without using an impact wrench (good luck), there will be much less chance of scratching the wheel. Not to mention regular sockets are usually polished, and impact sockets are not.

the track wheels i bought had the same problem. i went to my authorized nissan body shop and asked for the exact paint(which it is!) then i used a toothpick , with the smallest amount possible i wiped it over the scratch in the lug hole. looks really good now it doesnt catch your eye as being little scratches anymore
