Aluminum Kick Plates- production v. concept
One thing to consider--the reason I ordered the kickplates is that someone who saw one of the pre-production vehicles without aluminum kickplates said that the black plastic was getting really scratched up and worn out from people getting into and out of the car. Since the driver is so low in the car, I guess you tend to step on the kickplate to get yourself out. So the aluminum kick plates may last longer or stay in better shape than the plastic ones.
well think about it this way guys. if the aluminum kickplate was the one they decided to use in the preproduction car, think about how it would look in a car that wasn't silver. the reason why the aluminum kickplate looks so good in that picture is because it blends in with the silver color. if the color was...black, say, it would look horrible.
I like the optional kick plates. For one thing, my car will be dark, not silver, so the new kick plates will continue the basic theme I wanted for my car, medium dark(Brickyard) exterior and very light(Frost Leather) interior.
Besides, I don't really care a whole lot when I'm driving the car, and I don't think anyone else will either. Its about the car, not the accessories.

with the different KP's. I wouldn't be if they did something really crazy like put a 4 banger in the car. BTW, I still haven't seen a really good pic of the splashguards. Anyone know of any? I have searched the site for them.
