The first time I fell in love with the z is when I saw the concept model on road and track.... when I look at the concept vs the production I can't help to think what if the they were switched around meaning the concept is the production and the production was the concept since I love the way the concept looks ( everything but the interior ) from what I know, nissan changed the outter appearance because of complaints tha it was not appealing enough for everyone ( correct me if I'm wrong guys ). I was just wondering what everyone thinks, I love the way the the production model looks but just wished the front looked more like the production... kekkeke aight hope everyone is having a good holiday weekend!
Jay,
I think the original concept look too "retro" and Nissan want a more "modern" style sport car to appeal to both the current Z fan and younger generation. In my view, the concept general shape resembling the original 240Z and if you look more carefully, it look very much like Porsche 924 and 944. It also look like some early Ferrari and Lamborghini.
The production style/shape fit my taste perfectly. The general shape is clean and classy, like the general theme of new 911 and British sport car. It is not too "flashy" or "standout", like recent Ferrari or Lamborghini.
Don't get me wrong, I loved the original 240Z when it came out, but the styling and shape had it time. I am ready for something refreshing.

i fall in love when a salesman confirm that the Z will have such a low price with such a good performance engine, then when i get known to the features and style of the car i'm deeper into it~
