Default Did you get this type of letter from your insurance agency?

Just got this in the mail today...never got one when I got my 94 Trans AM

Dear Policyholder:

We have changed your policy to provide coverage for your new auto. Due to its high horsepower and low curb weight, this vehicle is classified as a high performance auto. We normally do not insure such and auto for a new applicant. However, we have agreed to insure this auto for you because you are a current memeber.

The primary purpose of any insurance company is to take care of the claims of Policyholders. Due to the ever increasing number of accidents on today's highways, the ERIE has assumed a second purpose -- to pormote highway safety. THis is why we are making you aware of the risks involved in driving an auto with a power engine and a comparatively lightweight body. Our claims experience shows that these autos become involved in more accidents than autos with less horsepower.

We encorage you to anyone driving your auto to follow safe driving practices, especially good judgement in observing a safe speed. We hope you have a safe driving future.

Sincerly,

ERIE INSURANCE GROUP.

"we hopw you have a safe driving future"? In other words...DONT CRASH.

TRANSLATION:

Dear Policy Holder,

Since last August, we have been enthusiatically lurking on the Nissan 350Z enthusiast's forum known as www.my350z.com. Our findings indicate that an inordinate number of accidents have occured in which rogue yard gnomes are distributing Pixie dust onto the streets of cities all across the country resulting in members of your enthusiast group wrecking their cars.

Here at WeSkru Auto insurance, we understand just how slippery and dangerous Pixie dust can be, especially when you are traveling at only 10 MPH around a decreasing radius right-hander. With this in mind, we urge to avoid driving you vehicle at all costs until the authorities can take the necessary actions to indentify and prosecute law-breaking yard gnomes.

Sincerely,
WeSkru Insurance

Got the very same letter from Erie. As long as they don't raise the rates, they can warn me all they want.
