It said it at first. I guess now they updated it and took out the 350Z part but it was a 350Z. Trust the locals

Not to be a dick cuz this is a horrible thing to happen. But that kid shoulda never been driving that car in the first place. At 16 he shouldn't have been driving anything really....

Reminds me of my friend that flipped a car and died cuz he was driving like a dick....

I'm 2 months away from being 19 and even I feel a bit guilty driving sometimes.

There are 5,000 +25 year old owners that are shaking their heads and agreeing as they read this.

And I'll put my two cents in about under-18 driving:

It's dangerous, wreckless, and plain illogical

Down here in Florida a teen can get a driver's license the very DAY they turn 16 and go around on a joy ride in a 3,000 lb chunk of metal...right. Then, I myself am not old enough to go through a check-in at the average resort.

Let's follow the driving gods of Germany and finally push this crap to 18 years of age!!! (Lol, not happening.) Taking this from the viewpoint of the average spoiled suburbian teenager (um, ME), no one should be able to operate a vehicle at the fresh age of damn 16.

*shrug*

Makes me think of what my dad told me when I started driving (a bazillion years ago). You're not in a toy, you're in a 3000 lb lethal weapon. Pretty good advice.

2 things. 1, the title says two teens dead but the article says one survived. 2, no where in the thread does it say that they were driving a 350z.

Try this story... it says it was a 350Z and that 2 died and the 3rd lived.

yeah at 16 you shouldn't really be driving a Z, I remember all the stupid things I did in my 150hp 98 Malibu and can't imagine what I would have been doing if I had a 300+hp Z.. thats sad man

Regardless of how tragic this is, a 350z does not belong in the hands of a 16 year old kid. That's like teaching your kid to hunt with an automatic weapon.

Glad they didn't hurt anybody else. As for them... well, lesson unfortunately learned.

"Investigators told Eyewitness News that they believe speed was a factor on the 30 mph road"

gee, yu think?! I agree, starting out with a car that has 300 hp is not a good idea.

RIP

they didn't learn their lesson. They died. If they survived than I would call that a lesson learned. On second note, if the driver and passenger who were sitting in the seats died, than they must have had the 3rd person in the trunk. They said they saw the 3rd kid climbing out of the trunk covered in blood. Unbeleivable. I drove by that road before and I'm assuming they got airborne coming over the hill than lost it when they landed. These kids look so young too. If I saw them I would think they were 14. RIP indeed.

It has to do with making smart decisions and thinking about consequences. BTW no one asked you who bought your Z and I don't think anyone cares. I'm sure you have never went over the speed limit in your 350Z like every other Z owner. Let's hope you don't end up like these guys.

if your under 18 i wouldnt even post on this forum lol. Im 22 now but when i was almost 18 my dad cosigned a loan with me on a 2003 silverado SS i made the payments but was extrememly blessed with the parents ive had and still have. I had a blast in that truck never abused it wrecked it etc. Now i have my own Z and i love it just as much and have just as much respect for it. It is possible to have a car like this and be young and responsible just like someone said few and far between. Me and my dad also built a 69 camaro 383 stroker with about 550 to the wheels i drove that to school about once a week never had a wreck never street raced it at all. I had nothing to prove i knew nothing in that school or almost my hole town could touch it so i just putted around and listened to that big cam lope

um no see its his fault for acting irresponsible....he probably wanted to show off....i got my Z when i was about to turn 17 and havent done anything stupid because i understand the consequences of speeding due to a lose of my first cousin at age 16...and it wasnt even his fault....it was the drivers fault and he got out without a scratch.....no he has to live with the fact that he killed my 16 cousin and took all his dreams away
