Earn your car by buying it with your hard earned money and lets see how reckless you are with that 27k+. I got no love for spoiled brats. Get a JOB!!! to those who bought their own cars and saved their blood and sweat to get that nice car that they finally have, Congratulations, I have alot respect for you.

hey, Z-kid**** off. They don't give Z drivers a bad name. They give 16 year olds a bad name. Who the **** said he saw the fast and the furious? Where does it say he drifted? What's to say he didn't buy it himself? Don't tell me it's not possible. It's definitely possible. Who said he was a spoiled brat? It was a 2003, not a 2008, you dumb ****.

LOL wow..... just wow. You're a very angry kid son.
There are 2 reasons why u got angry over my "OPINION and ASSUMPTION".
1. The teens that suffered such a fate are either your friends or family, in that case, I apologize if i have offended you in any way. I do not wish a loss for anyone that is a close relative or friend. RIP and my sympathy does go to the friends and family of their tragic loss and hope them the best in this time of sadness and depression.
2. Mommy and daddy bought you your precious Z or whatever nice car you have and u probably get s**t from it by other people. Then begins your little kid tantrum trying to deny the fact that the car belongs to your parents instead of yourself. Most people would get angry over the truth, which you have, and then just blow up like how you did. So if number 2 is close to the truth (that you would probably deny) then accept it. Your daddy's little angel. Plus the way u responded summed up to be very childish, so you must be a spoiled teen.

If explanation 1 is correct or close to the truth, once again, I apologize.

If number 2 is correct....Then get a job you little spoiled brat and pay for your own s**t.

the guy had a big single turbo with extra engine Rotors, i mean the car was done up NICE!! ( i kept going for rides i loved it so much) well turns out NONE of the family knew how to drive STICK which was i was like WHY IN THE HELL WOULD YOU BUY THE CAR THEN???? turns out the KID told his parents if they don't buy the car he was going to kill himself. .I told the MOM that i would of gave him the GUN!!!. .well anyway. .the car had come in for a new clutch that the kid insisted be racing. .so we put on a 3 puck racing clutch and when i went for my final rides to test it out. .the damn car had so much power that it actually LIFTED the front end. .well after the mother picked it up and jerked the car all down the road i found out that about 2 weeks later the SPOILED ***** of a kid totaled the car. . .now thats a shame. .but he survived!!!!!!

FYI.. in central Europe people cannot drive until they are 18... and still they cannot drive a Z...

For the first year (3 years at first.. then they changed their minds about it) you cannot drive a car which exceeds 50Kw/ton and for the first 3 years you cannot exceed the speed of 100Km/h on highways (62 miles/h) and the speed of 90Km/h (55 miles/h) on fast roads (outside the city).

Inside all cities the speed is (supposed to be) limited to 50Km/h (31 mph) for any car / any driver / any time.

Still we get many youth killed in accidents mainly due to alcohol abuse at late night and high speed driving (frequently al late night after having been at disco / night clubs).

There is no protection from people stupidity.

I would have never let my son drive such a fast car at 16 year of age (not even at 18 or 20).

Back to the accident... i wonder who will be charged for the death of the passenger and for the other kid that was injured.

In Italy (that's were i live) the insurance will not pay the family of the passenger kid or for the other injured kid (they were not supposed to be there by law).

The driver's family would be responsible in full for the loss and would have to pay for whatever the court will state.

This is how it works here. What about the US ?

Yeah. Once again parents here's an easy word that you need to learn and teach your kids repeatedly...Are you ready? Here's the word....NO. Stop being threatened by your kids, gets some big ones and be the parents.

Well, I assure you that I do not know the kids involved and do not know anyone in that family. And I also assure you that I don't drive a Z, nor do my parents, or any of my relatives. I share a car with my mom and dad. My mom has a 2003 Toyota Avalon and my dad drives a 1992/3? Ford F-150. Not luxury or sports cars by far.

Go back it and reread it...over and over and over again...........it was a Z.

just look at the wreckage...if you own a Z you can obviously tell it is one. If the stock rims dont give it away you cant be helped, oh maybe the fact that the second paragraph clearly says "2003 NISSAN 350Z"..rocket science :O

dont skim..read it word for word....someone was in the trunk....you can easily fit someone 6' and 200lbs in the rear.

Dont be in deniel because we know it will end up raising out insurance rates

If I were to take a stab at it, he is a 350z fan... not the first person on this forum to not own a Z. In fact, I would say its smart to join a forum and learn the ins and outs of the car, and the typical issues. For example, to avoid an 03 and an 06 if possible (IMO). I learned the hard way when I bought a 2001 prelude with a 63% failure rate on the auto tranny. Needless to say, my joy of buying a new car was quickly shot down after I joined preludepower.

I did teach both of my boys to drive. (They are both in their 30's now and good drivers).
I had a PLAN for what they should do in the process. Their mom wanted them to take a lesson from some driving instructor and that would be it, right? WRONG. They did take driving lessons in some Civic. Anyone could drive that car with very little skill.
I bought a little Nissan 4x4 with an under powered 4cyl engine. It was shiny red and had shiny wheels. It looked cool. But it was a Tonko truck (tank). I installed a roll bar. Not a cosmetic bar but a real roll bar with a steel plate across the bed of the truck (bottom and top) so the roll bar wouldn't punch thru in the event of a turn over.
That truck required a good bit of skill to manage the clutch and make a smooth launch. The driving lessons started with a trip to the local high school parking lot during the weekend. We would practice the launch. He had to get smooth so that I didn't spill my coffee. When he had the touch to do it on the flat we rolled up to a speed bump and he had to roll that stiff sprung truck over the speed bump without spilling my coffee. And the rear wheels would then hop over the speed bump and the coffee would be spilled. We practiced over and over, week after week. Then we learned how to parallel park. Weeks and weeks of practice. (I'm a perfectionist) - Then we went up on a hill that had gravel that had come down the hill onto the pavement. He had to stop on the hill and set the hand brake. The start up the hill without rolling backward and without spinning the tires in the gravel. There were complaints. "When will I have to do this" - My reply? "Ever drive in San Francisco?" - If you can't drive there, you can't drive.

I told them I wasn't giving them control of a 3000 lb killing machine unless they could be fully responsible. (Grades, homework, and household chores taken card of).

One last thing. It was *my* truck. They did get to drive it. They had to buy the gas and pay the insurance. And if they didn't take card of their responsibilities, I pulled the keys.

OK, I'm a hard ***. But I knew what I was doing was right. Right for the training necessary to survive in a busy part of the state where traffic is relentless.

At what age are kids ready to drive? I dunno. I don't think there is a *number* where everyone is ready. I had one son that was ready at 16. The other wasn't ready till 18. (Ready means he was responsible with the daily features in life).
