To all those patient and polite Canadians out there. Has anyone got anything firm from their dealers yet? Have the boats left Japan?

Another question. Why do our American neighbours get all kinds of cool stuff and INFORMATION while we sit here in the dark?

My dealer told me it would be 10 days once the cars landed in Vancouver (I'm in Mississauga... almost)... but I can't get anything... has anyone heard a peep?

No news yet here in Red Deer, Alberta... Still waiting for my Black on black Performance... Dealer manager will be contacted next week though.... time to be updated... Recently my car showed July production on their computer..but that's it.... Deposit on it since November so I'm #1 on the list... hopefully soon....

You need to see the movie "Canadian Bacon" with John Candy; it parodies Canadians, Americans, Canada's view of Americans, and American's view of Canadians. It's really well done and hilarious. As a Canadian now residing in California (got my greeen card -- yay!) I can appreciate it.

Sorry, off topic. Uhhhhh... yeah, Canadians and Americans alike are sure to enjoy their new 350Zs, which will bring us together just like the characters in the abovementioned movie. (Whew, I hope that saved me from getting booted to off-topic)

 

Phoned Nissan Canada today, and they were a broken record: contact your dealer sales manager.

Of course that's the same crap Nissan North America gave to US buyers, but someone there found out more.

But I think _someone_ knows. Anyone know who's the right person to call in Canada? Call them and post their comments.

Anyone happen to talk to a Nissan Canada exec who let slip something like "50 Zs landed in Vancouver this week" or something like that?

Yes my car shows as "July production" on my dealer's computer. The sales guy mentioned he was expecting the status to update to "WIP" and then to "In Transit" as the car progresses. The status has not been updated yet.

What it all comes down to is, I expect the worst: first Canadian cars in September. Sucks.

 

I also think we will not see any for a while. What f*&ing pissed the hell out of me is that we were hearing August, August, August, and thats fine if they can not live up to it, but let me know an update. Call your dealer tand they say that they do not have any info and that Nissan Canada only gives them more info when the car ports in Vancouver. Call Nissan Canada and they say "call your dealer". Just let us know approximate dates. Its not that hard. I can order a BMW M3 and even though I will not get it for months, they can still tell me a day +or- 10 days when I will get it.

 

I just got back from Avenue Nissan and the Track model I ordered on May 17th is scheduled for Sept. production. They have an order # and it was listed on a computerized printout from Nissan. It had all makes of their ordered cars listed.

They are scheduled to recieve two 350Z's this month.

 

I got the news today that my car is on the water and arriving Aug 20 in Vancouver.. Expect delivery in Early sept.... I can't wait!!!

 

When did you order? And can you please provide info as to what model and color you ordered. thanks

What dealer?
Dealers only get VIN's when the car has been offloaded which means you could have your car this week or next week the latest...congrats.

 

But Dealer Manager was able to get the VIN.... Not sure how...
