Default Took her home.....

So after a year of posting on this board I finally got my Z!

Since I wanted DB in Enthusiast and 6 speed, this did not help that it is almost at the end of the model year.

So after searching and talking to dealerships for weeks in the NJ tri-state area, I came to grips and started to give up on the DB. My g-friend mentions to put her brother's zip in the dealer inventory.....

Must have been some kind of divine intervention, the first dealer had the EXACT car I wanted. I drove out to York, PA the next day, put a deposit on it that day and finished the finacing on that Wednesday.

After I had signed the papers, the GM told me that he had 7 dealers trying to swap for this car. Then last week, some guy posted here that he was trying to find the same exact car. I told him I bought the last one until Georgia. He said the York Dealership just sold me the car the day before. When I picked the car up on Saturday, 3 out of the 5 Z's were gone, and they were selling the PPW while I was picking up! I highly recommend Brian at York Nissan -- the place couldn't have been better.

So, after stalling the car out I babied the car pretty much the whole way home on the PA turnpike, since it rained on Saturday (Got it going to 80 a few times though). Yesterday I was showing it to some of relatives, (took my grandfather for a ride, he almost had a heart attack) and driving past Old Bridge-Englishtown Raceway park, EVERYONE had there mouths open looking at me. TOO FUNNY. Even when I went past a racoon, the thing stopped and looked at me. Man I wish I had a camera rolling for that one!

Man I can't wait until my break in is over, it just hauls ***. The clutch is a little heavy, but that might be because it's new. WAY different clutch that my g-friend's 1988 Toyota Corolla!

I've never driven a late model foreign car and when trying to reverse I'm like, uhhh, where's reverse???? I had to ask my buddy where it was....push down and to the bottom right.

Too Funny... great car, great choice....NJ people, we need a meet SOON!

Congrats!

Yeah, when I first test drove my car, I couldn't find reverse either, and there was nobody around to help. I felt really stupid with all these construction workers working around me probably thinking I couldn't even drive a stick. Then it rained for 3 days straight, which happens maybe once a decade around here!

Welcome to the the DB Enthusiast group! I LOVE mine! When I first saw the new Z commercial where the people are staring and gawking I thought it was kinda lame . . I wanted to see more of the car, but that is the exact expression I get from people when I drive by! I think it's that screamin' blue color! . . . . schwwwiiinggg

Hey man nice purchase. I am the guy that called about that car the day after you bought it. Those guys up there seemed real cool. I ordered my DB Enthusiast last week and it comes in July 3rd from the factory. I hate the wait but at least the last 5 numbers of the vin is 18xxx so hopefully I avoid the problems reported.

Keep us posted how it rides.

Riding great, I'm already around 300 miles I love taking turns at like 80 in this thing....probably not good for the break in.

I've gotten so many complements on the color....people just love the Daytona Blue. Only problem is it gets dirty real fast.

I think it stands out, but it's not a gaudy color like a yellow would be.

Getting my clear bra put on on Thursday! Next mod will probably be the sun roof!!!

For the DB owners out there, I want to get a two-toned leather wrap for both seats, but don't know what colors to get....

Any suggestions?

Black/blue?
Black/red?
Burnt Orange/Black?

black and blue...but only if the blue matches 96-100% to the body color
