you need to have a conversation with your insurance company, that does NOT look like a write off, the car is def. worth more than the damages so there's no way they can tell you its not worth fixing it. Go see them and the place that looked over the car, thats BS.
unless thes pics arent showing half the problem.

I'm sure i'll end up getting another Z should this one become a "loss." You know even when I was driving around in mine and I saw a bone stock Z on the road i'd always say " Damn I love that car ! "
There is no getting away from it i have Z Envy

sorry to see that happen. I live in Chicago, and I put blizzaks on my stock wheels. I feel much safer. These things love the snow and even ice! I think they are worth the money that can save your life and your car. Good luck with everything. I learned my lesson a long time ago. I use to own a Camaro SS. I didn't take it out much like you say, but one night...I was caught in a Chicago blizzard. I was on nitto tires at the time! Lets just say I was scared for my life.

Sorry for your loss.
Were the roads wet?
Gap insurance doesn't cover you for what you paid, it just covers the difference between what you owe (on the loan) and what the insurance company says your car is worth.
The calculation of that value does not include any modifications that you make to your car: the body kit, the wheels, suspension mods, engine mods -- none of this is calculated into the value. If you think your highly modified car is worth substantially more than and "average" Z of the same year, you should probably discuss that with your insurance agent.
