A 1948 Nash. I doubt you youngsters have ever heard of one. Three speed with a column shift, light dimmer switch on the floor next to the clutch and a radio. It's redeeming feature for a young high school guy was the reclining seats which saw occasional use on a secluded back road. The top of the back seat was hinged so I could have a couple of guys in the trunk when we went to the drive in movie and they didn't have to open the trunk lid to get into the car, just flipped the seat up and crawled in. This was in 1954 and 55.

1984 VW Rabbit GTI.

EDIT: Forgot to include the 'bad'.

I bought the car in 1993 from my older brother.
The car was on its 3rd engine.
Engine Management Control unit was barely functional.
Had an alarm that didn't work...then it would randomly.
Car was hit on all 4 sides.
Passenger door bondo fell off in one big chunk.
Dash board was broken due to radio thefts - yes, that's plural.
3 keys - one for ignition/trunk, one for driver's door, one for passenger door.
Vandals keyed the car pretty bad (anarchy symbol on hood, along both sides)

Hand me down 99 Expedition.
I loved that thing and of course it got the pimp treatment...
Got all of my ricing out of my system with that one; ebay CAI, $9 chip, BADASS system (**** was real loud), 20 inch wheels (way too small).
Then my dumbass flipped it... lesson learned.
God i wish i had that car back but im sure everyone is that way with their first cars no matter how shitty.

I don't think I had a **** car when I was 16. I worked my **** off for 3 summers helping out a custom home builder doing most of the grunt work and bought a almost perfect condition 94 chevy s10. I had one of the nicer cars in HS except for a couple rich kids that had a corvette and a custom truck. Oh yeah, I'm 23 now.

some of you are lucky to get a car at 16. I had to wait for my mom to get off work at 6pm just to borrow her car until 10pm. lol. The good ole days.

That 48 Nash could be worth some money today.

1985 Volkswagon Jetta. There was really nothing wrong with the car, other than a dirty fuel filter when i first brought it home.
