a $15K 2003 350z with ~60K miles I would consider MORE than decent especially after driving a 92' nissan 240sx with ~250K for the last decade.

Man, there are some real jerks on here. Guy comes on asking for advice and a bunch of guys post messages about waiting for the guy to total his car? What an invite to a potential new owner and member. Maybe the guy only has 15K and is a responsible guy looking for advice. I've noticed a few arrogant posters on this site. Not everyone can afford the newest, and not everyone buying something he can afford will drive it like a fool and get into an accident. Lighten up you guys.

Good...I thought it was just me who felt that a little extreme way to answer the OP's question.

You can get a decent used one for that, or a tid bit more if you can/want to swing it. Just going to take time and research. Good luck, they are great cars!

not everyone can afford to save up a few more G's, say he does save a few more and has 18-19 to spend, there will always be the group of guys saying save up a few more and get one for 21K, then why not save up more and get something better for 23K.. and on and on and on

Yeah. You're the big bad dog. LOL. What a joke. So you think you should be able to be an a$$hole publicly, and then because you privately are helping the guy, we should telepath in to the forum and know you are being a closet nice guy?

And, butt munch, seems like a few people thought you were being an a$$hole so even though your picture is really cute, grow up. By the way, they're called capitals and punctuation. I may be a 350Z forum noob but I'm not an english language noob. I speak up to defend a kid and you are trying to tell me that I'm out of line?
You're a joke.

premium doesnt make that much of a difference. and honestly, as expensive as tires are, you can always find oem rims+tire sales on the forums that are cheaper than doing it at a tire shop.

if you have 15 grand to spend put 12500 down on a new 07 or 08 base and then your payments should be super cheap and use the rest for insurance, if your under 25 your gunna need it... (depending where you live and who you go through of course )

Wow, 15k huh? The smartest thing you could probably do is put a down payment on a house or a condo. Depending on where you live they are very undervalued.

When I was looking at used Zs I only looked at loaded ones. I realize that the Base and Enthusiast models weigh less but they are also cheaper to buy new (by a wide margin) than the Touring and are more likely to be purchased by younger and more reckless drivers. The price difference between a used Touring and Base is very small but you generally will get a less abused vehicle with the Touring. At least, that was my logic when I was searching.

If it was my 15k I would either max out my Roth/IRA contributions for the year or put it towards the principle on my condo. I love the Z but I don't think I could ever throw 15k at a car at this point in my life (I'm 27).
