Default mynismo.com

hey guys,

did anyone deal with them?

i placed an order on 16th feb(Saturday) for a CAI, and on the same day i sent them an email to cancel the order (cuz i'll be ordering another brand).
put in mind that they froze the amount on my credit card for the CAI.

since i don't want my email to be lost between the pile (i don't want them to process the order), i sent another email on 17th feb (Sunday). till 19th the status of my order was still "in process". so i called them twice to get to the Parts staff.. i spoke to the lady and asked her to cancel my order (she took the order number), and she said "i'll cancel it now", and she did...

so, after few minutes, the status order is "Cancelled". great! so the frozen amount should be unfreezed now. so, i placed the second order for the CAI that i wanted.

till date, the amount of the previous CAI is frozen! i sent dozen of emails asking them, but they never replied on any of my emails...

are they genuine? anyone here faced the same problem? can i trust them?

don't go on about "you should've asked before u order".. i asked a friend who ordered from them long time ago, and he said they were "good".

thnx

Have you called your credit card company to see if they can help?

i did.. and they said, they should release the amount if they get the authorization code of us (the credit card issuer). and i did. i provided them the code with my 2nd order.

this is the message:
Please make sure to cancel my previous order number xxxx. i called you yesterday 19th feb to cancel it, and you confirmed it to me that it has been cancelled. yet the amount is of the previous order is still frozen.
This is the authorization code of my credit card issuer: 582724.
I think you might require this to unfreeze the amount of the previous cancelled order.
thank you.

most of the time you shouldnt expect your funds to immediately go back to your card.

give it a "few" business days and you should be fine.

Dude! Your credit card or bank account has a pending status to be charged! Your banking institute is waiting for mynismo.com to take that money, but in the case of you confirming the cancellation w/ mynismo.com..... they are not. That pending authorization will soon be erased and funds become available. It's like that everywhere you go. You have to wait a few days. Make sure you get that lady's name!

actually, it has been couple of days now (5days). i mean, i know that it won't be released the 2nd day, but at least it will take 3 to 4 days. and i didn't get the lady's name, but when i went to check the order status it showed "Cancelled".. i took a screenshot of that.

how long u suggest i wait?

thnx again

It can take up to 10 business days to clear. I go round and round with my credit card company when this sh*t happens.

You’ll get it back; it just takes them a while with whatever excuse they feel they need to use. Mine is usually 5 business days to see it back in my account. Funny how quickly they will take your money from your account, but it takes forever to give your money back when a refund is due.

The bottom line is that they love to hold your money as long as they can. Greedy bastards, I hate them all.

Their customer service has really gone down hill since Jeff left!
I called to order a SET of exhaust manifold gaskets and was even talking to the sales rep about my call to make sure they had them in stock because I was getting headers installed and needed them here by the end of the week.
They sent one, when I called the rep back and talked to him he said "you didnt state that you needed two"? Well usually when you have headers installed they come in pairs for our cars.

OP welcome to the internet.

you ordered on a saturday via an online automated transaction. the next day you canceled, non automated transaction that may take a few days before they even are able to do your reversal + that is not even a business day.

This isn't directly the fault of MyNismo.com.

When you place the order it places an authorization hold on your credit card for the agreed upon amount. By the time you cancelled the order with them the period of time to perform a VOID transaction was past.

At this point there are only two options:
1) Capture the transaction to remove the hold and refund it (in which case the charge and refund will appear on your card statement, which freaks out most customers, and MyNismo.com must eat the Credit Card transaction fees).

or

2) Let the authorization expire automatically. This expiration does not originate with MyNismo.com but the bank that issued your credit card. Normally it's within 5-7 business days but I've seen holds last for a month because that was the policy of the issuing bank.

Yeah, many people don't realize how the credit card system actually works. I don't really blame them though, I didn't fully understand it until I started having to look under the hood of it, so to speak.
