Ok, just got back from friends shop and have some input on the model. Paint quality, the DB Hotwheels is better. More true to the actual DB. The road signature version of DB is more of a med-light blue metallic. Also the wheels are tiny compared to the Hot wheels version. The scale of the model is more realistic, Hot wheels always run larger for all of their 1:18 scale models for some reason. By far the AutoArts are light years ahead in quality over these two brands.

The only reason for anyone to purchase either a Hotwheels or Road signature model would be:

1. It's cheap - and you don't care, it's just a model after all.

or

2. You've got to have one in Daytona Blue no matter what.

For those who would like the most detailed or accurate representation of the 350Z in model form (minus of course the fact that the burnt orange leather and brembos do not come together in the states) the only choice would be AutoArt. However, as discuss before, For the price of one AutoArt you can have 2 hotwheels or road signature models.

I am a bit discouraged by the lack of quality for the road signature model. Usually they are quite decent. I don't think it's even worth offering to others. Just my $0.02

Question

Wondering if the 1/18 th scale undersized Ray's forged wheels on the Yat Ming model would be perfectly sized for the 1/24th Tamiya 350Z?

Might end up looking like one of those muscle machine models with the oversized wheels. If that is the effect you are going for, skip the model and get a set of wheels for about $6. The tires are quite chunky too does not have a nice low profile look nor does the tires look like real rubber, more of that shiny black plastic look.
