The DFW police are more than just 'airport police.' My understanding is that they are all EMT's and firemen. All three. All of them. Correct me if I'm wrong, please.

I have learned my lesson, my new radar detector will not be visible if I am not in the car. Also, parking at the airport will no longer happen. Thanks to everyone for there words of support!!!!

I had someone get into my SRT once... Had a dealer installed alarm... Only went off if you open the doors when it is locked... So it was silling in my driveway, locked upwith my purse in the seat. I also had a book of CD's in the car. Someone managed to get into my car (without setting te alarm off) and only took my wallet... Needless to say nothing ever came of it because I reported everythig right away...

So I feel yeah... I own a drop top VW too and i leave the doors unlocked because it costs less to replace whatever they takethen it does to replace the roof... LOL

Sorry for your loss... I agree look into the security system...

Sorry to here your story...but the good news is that in your state of Texas I heard it is legal for home owners to use deadly force if you car is broken into or you property is getting f'ed with...I wish I had that law in my state.

Damn! That is quite a story. Very sorry to hear about it. I have never parked my Z at the airport for longer than 30 minutes for the same reason. It is the perfect spot for thieves; thousands and thousands of cars parked for days on end with rarely too many people walking around in the spaces, ESPECIALLY during early-mid morning when most of the business travellers are already gone and the lot is full.

An alarm is only good if you are around to hear it.

Sorry to hear. I always take a cab or catch a ride to the airport and leave the car at home.

Check out this law in Texas: http://usgovinfo.about.com/b/2007/03...efense-law.htm

Here's some cliff notes:
Sec.A9.32.AADEADLY FORCE IN DEFENSE OF PERSON. (a)AAA person
is justified in using deadly force against another:
(1)AAif the actor [he] would be justified in using force
against the other under Section 9.31; and
(2)AA[if a reasonable person in the actor ’s situation would not have retreated; and
[(3)]AAwhen and to the degree the actor [he] reasonably
believes the deadly force is immediately necessary:
(A)AAto protect the actor [himself] against the
other ’s use or attempted use of unlawful deadly force; or
(B)AAto prevent the other ’s imminent commission of
aggravated kidnapping, murder, sexual assault, aggravated sexual
assault, robbery, or aggravated robbery.
(1)AAknew or had reason to believe that the person
against whom the deadly force was used:
(A)AAunlawfully and with force entered, or was
attempting to enter unlawfully and with force, the actor ’s occupied
habitation, vehicle, or place of business or employment;
Yeehaw, bitches.

Sorry to hear about your break-in. That sucks having to contend with that.
My suggestion would be to park at a secured off-site lot such as The Parking Spot. I don't want to turn this into a commercial but I have been VERY pleased with their service plus some offer covered parking.

yeah see there's problems with secure ones as well. .2 problems. .some people leave there parking ticket in the car say. .sun visor. .and a thief could then break in and use the ticket to get back out. .or what i know out here in Newark or jfk airport that they do is. .pull in with one car. .park it and leave with another car. .i can almost assure you that them guards at the gate really aren't doing his or her job well. .

Yeah that sucks I feel your pain. I had my old car broken into. A 4000 watt 15" power sub was taken and an MTX amp. The sub box took up the whole trunk and I can't believe nobody noticed. It was in the freakin Target parking lot where I worked. The camera system sucks and the people got away. I had an alarm too.

I just got my IPOD (60G) + Bluetooth headphones stolen from the gym last night. I am livid.

Someone care to explain people for me?

and let me know if you find out who did it...I'll fly out and rearrange their face with you.

It's just sad that some people have absolutely no moral fiber or conscious. They see the risk as being less than the reward -- never once putting their selves in their victim's shoes and imagining how they would feel if the same had been done to them. That being said, and me being the victim a handful of times, I'm all for the face rearranging.

If I were you, I'd almost be tempted to lay some bait at the gym and see if it happens again. Track that person and find out if they stole the other stuff as well.

d*mn, sorry to hear that, i hope you catch them so they get the beating they deserve, is it me or does the Z get vandalized more than any other car, its a shame Nissan created something so unique that people either love it too much(me) or hate it that much!
