Every freakin Z on the lots of NIssan dealers in the South East seem to cary touring or track.
Can't find a black 5spd enthusiast anywhere!!
Are just most of these special ordered for customers by dealers?
If so, how long does it take, and has anyone managed to get a discout by doing so??
thnx!

I noticed the same thing as well. Actually when I was looking to buy (December 2002) all you could find were touring models. Nothing else. I don't know why, maybe dealers were pushing the leather and wanting to sell a more attractive model, or maybe Nissan made more Touring models than all the rest who knows. But when I FINALLY put a deposit down I gave the dealer a time frame....2 weeks, and he found my Z. Redline Entusiast!! And that was in CT in February, drove home on March 1.
My point is at this point you shouldn't have to special order unless you are looking for a 2004, but I noticed the same thing you did. I actually ordered the cloth interior without ever seeing it. But it's real nice.

I've seen plenty of Entusiasts at dealers. As a matter of fact, the first Z we drove (about a month ago) was a black Enthusiast with the six speed. We bought an Enthusiast and the dealer didn't have too much trouble locating one with the right options and the right color in a matter of a week or so.
