2. I'm talking about cars you see kids driving, ie celica and TC
3. Being better has nothing to do with costs
And the celica cost $22,000 new.

Don't you have some shoes to sell?

Just remember next time you see a kid in a Z that his interest rate is probably double-digits. Like my friend and his G. He signed cuz he wanted the car. He didn't realize that $36,000 over the course of 6 years for a high mileage 04 G35 is raw **** rape.

Kids drive Celicas because:
1) They look fast
2) They're cheap to buy used, around $7-12k (You can't buy them new anymore, and I doubt any 16-18 year old bought their 2005 celica brand new...)
3) Parents are more willing to cosign for a car that has a 4-cylinder engine making 180hp.

Man, you picked two extremes. Both prices are way off.
The Celica is about $6K too high. But it is on a used car lot, so the dealer knows he will not get price. That is a negotiation starting point.
The Z is a private party. He is asking about $4K too low. Who knows why. He could need cash fast, might have lost a job, or just be jerking around.
Either way, I'd buy neither.
I agree with everyone else here, all things being equal, the Z (depending on the model) should be at least $6K more than a Celica of the same year.
Hey sorry to hear that, nothing pisses me off more than seeing some kind of dent or scratch on my car.... Let alone getting hit. I'm suprised you didnt beat the kid senseless.
I had an RSX in high school and used to park it in horizontal spots and always tried to get on an endspot where I could leave myself plenty of room and somehow it still got dinged... spit on once for no apparent reason too
.
My 17 year old brother receintly crashed my RSX front panel into a gas station barrier. Got it fixed and painted and the car looks fine. Make sure you check for any noises after you get the car fixed though and go through everything throughouly. Even the slightest bang could throw something off.
Hope everything works out for you.
