Yes side airbags +1. Just think when you crash the car you got airbags all around you. Theres a good safety tool.

Or rarely have to turn it off?
I guess I am getting old...
No after driving the car for a while I just leave it on most of the time. Its my DD and I don't feel the need to get all Fast and Furious just going to work. It helps save the tires too.

I think it is more of a hassle to turn it off everytime I drive it around. I am not pushing the limits just putting around so I don't think its worth it.

They are not the same. The TCS maintains traction by cutting fuel and applying braking; while the VDC uses braking at each wheel to control and/or minimize oversteer/understeer. You can have TCS w/o VDC, but if you have VDC you also have TCS.

Sorry; left out the "not" in my response. Good catch, z350boy.

Thanks for the explaination. I have the TCS. Its funny I just posted that it hardly comes on. Well coming out of wendy's today I thought I was barely giving it gas. 1st okay, hit 2nd and I make myself look a little silly because the slip light came on and it cut the power a little. That was touchy.

Must be my new K&N drop in filter!! LOL

VDC - what's that... ?
This is how we do it in sweden: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhR6nJdHQjY

Jokes aside, I have TCS and the VLSD on my 350. And I have to drive pretty hard before the TCS kicks in, would manage just as fine without it.
