First, how did gunshots not wake you? Those are pretty loud. (not that it matters, but Its just strange to me.)
Second, why would you continue to live somewhere where drug deals occur to the extent that your aware of it?

He was bragging about gunshots on his car and on top of that tried to cover up his f***'d up transmission by blaming it on my shifting. I was so tempted to just drop him like an anchor but the police were right in the parking lot.

Personally, I'd high-tail it and move out of there as soon as possible. Your neighborhood sounds way too dangerous to leave a car as flashy a 350Z in plain sight. As bad as the damage was to the car, at least you didn't take any bullets yourself, and that's a definite act of good fortune.
