tripndesi bought another Z. Part II (previous totaled see thread)
For those who read my previous post thanks for the advice / support. Since the accident, I have been intensly researching craigslist, my350z, ebay and many other websites for the next good vehicle. I managed to find the one I wanted for a fairly good deal I believe. Once when the insurance company has cut the check, I'll have about $2k to play with, what should I do? I'm not a racer, and I am happy with the engine / exhaust as it is. For members reading this, it is minor tweaks and adds.
The Deal: 2003 Black Touring - 32k miles - stock. $15,000. He was originally asking $15,900 but heard my story and dropped it. The car had 2 owners, this originally came from a lease. The Car Fax report is clean. Thoughts?
This is what I plan on doing. Let me know if you have any suggestions.
1. Windows Tint - there is no tint on the car. Any suggestions on the window tint % ? Last time my Z was a little difficult to see in the rear view mirror due to the heavily dark tint.
2. New floor mats
3. Nismo replica spoiler
4. K&N Air Filter
5. Install my cross drilled rotors that I previously bought for my red z.
6. Go ahead and throw in the hawk break pads
7. Not sure about the oil, but Motul is going into it when the brakes are replaced
8. BIG QUESTION! - Want a good in-dash receiver that has dvd-navi built in-ipod functionality. Double Din only. Thoughts? Anyone selling theirs?
9. Z-enclousure box with 1 10" sub / amp. Nothing fancy.
Thanks agan for your support. I am so ecstatic with my Z! Screw the Corolla! lol

i did purchase a Z (last night)
I did buy the Z last night. The 2003 Touring Black one 33k miles for $15k flat + TTL.
It feels like I have a new car all over again. All I wanted was my old Z back. Even though this is black and my previous 03 was red. It's kind of like the spiderman effect of red suit / black suit

My suggestion: 35% on sides, 20% on rear. IF that is too dark for you, try 35% all around.
I just had mine done at Solar Scape in Hurst - good guys, easy to deal with - did a good job.
Good Luck

I have a black 03 touring. Tint, I went with 50 % front windows, 20 % rear. It looks pretty dark with a black on black Z. Radio swap, I installed an Eclipse 2210p which is double din. Am/Fm Cd with Tom Tom navigation. 5vt pre amp outputs. usb front input, aux sound input. I installed a 7 in screen above the stock radio opening with the dvd player in the cubby beside the "glove box". If you have the Bose system, use a PAC adapter to match to the Bose amps. Works perfect.
