what to do if somebody

Definatly keep persistant. Fed Ex or whatever carrier took care of this needs to cover their ***, in case its lost or stolen. So they will have tracking info! A tracking number shouldnt be that hard to get. If he can find out it was signed for, he can find out the tracking number...

Did you check when this member registered? Also, did you check his iTrader rating? I rarely do business with someone who is a newb with low post count and has "0" iTrader rating.

Seems pretty obvious he never shipped them and is merely stalling. I'll check back in in about 30 pages to see all the suggestions for how to deal with him. But long and short you are probably screwed. Sorry for your (bad) luck

Guy has only been a member here since march 3 - seems a bit risky to be trading stuff with a total stranger who is brand new on a forum with 27 posts. I would not buy from a total stranger on ANY forum unless a lot of members spoke up for him. I notice he waited to "ship" until he had a tracking number from you for the strut bar? Smart guy. Ruthless, but smart.

Hope everything works out for you. Thats why I am scared to trade stuff through forums...will only buy from sponsors or trade if someone lived locally from me.
Keep Emailing or calling the guy.

There was a BIG red flag that he was shady from the start. "I can ship out once I get a tracking number from you". Anyone who's done alot of online buying/trading would have caught that one right off the bat.
You cross ship. Him saying that shows he had no intention of shipping, if he even has the items to ship.
Goodluck man.

print out all of the pms and postings so you can keep a record incase they get lost on the interwebz. You said you have his address. Call his local police, tell them what up and they will go to his house. shouldn't be too bad as long as you have proof of the conversations. if he tries to deny that was him online they will check his IP address and he's caught.

Call the local police? I hope that is sarcasm. Police here did not even come out when a buddys Z had the window smashed out and HU ripped out of the dash. They sure as hell won't bother with what is basically a minor misdemeanor. Maybe he should call "Dateline" - they'll nail the bastard.
