Talking Congrats to Chris: 1st Place HIN L.A.!!!

Hellos and Salutations,

We took a project car to HIN L.A. this past weekend. It belongs to Chris (mazzooo). The car is arguably the sickest all around 350z in the world:

1st Place Hottest Nissan Mild!

*Custom Wald wide body
*Lamborghini Diablo Yellow
*AEBS 4.2 stroker
*Tilton Dual Carbon Carbon
*PowerLab Twin GT37R turbo kit
*PowerLab Exhaust
*PowerLab Return Fuel System
*PowerLab Twin bumper ducts
*Professional EFI ECU
*Wald wheels
*StopTech BBK Front and Rear
*Swiss Audio full stereo system
*PowerLab Carbon Fiber Wrapped Radiator Support
*Cosworth (Intense Polished) Intake Manifold, etc etc.

Before we yanked the motor to paint the engine bay, the car put down 780whp @ 15psi

From Right to left: Chris, the owner; Wayne
Both Chris and Wayne flew in from Texas to meet us at the show.

We build show and go cars, but lean more on go than show, lol. To that end, we don't put 10000 tv's in our cars, nor bring fancy lighting or ice sculptures. Therefore, these pics are a wee bit dark.

Here you can see the new PowerLab Twin Bumper Ducts. These will be out shortly in fiberglass and carbon fiber. While they are on a DE car (they're functional for the twin GT37R's, they will be produced for the '07+ (HR) cars.

A pic from a small part of our bay at Intense. This was taken when we first got the car last year from Texas. You can see our VeilSide Fortune Wide body (current whp record holder for VQ35de stock sleeves, stock crank at 906whp) and my Do-Luck Wide Body 350z (now sold).

Intense, PowerLab, and Professional EFI would like to thank Chris for putting his faith and trust in these 3 companies. Obviously, with the resources at his disposal, he could have taken the car anywhere. His first show ever, he took first place Nissan! Plans are in the mix to go for 1100whp here shortly, as well as taking the car to ZDayZ in May.

Darren(thanks Thanh at HIN getting us in last minute too)

Wait, does that mean it's in a "Mild" category!?! If so what do the other categories look like?

I have always loved that car, one of the widebody's that looks natural for the Z. I wish I could see it in person. Some day I guess!

The fact that the front Nissan burger was shaved off makes the dual air duct look so much cleaner. Great job!

Hellos,

Thanks for all of your kind, positive words. Regarding HIN rules, they follow the NCCA (National Custom Car Association) 2008 Rule Book.

Classifications:

Mild
Unlimited Mild Modifications
and
Up to 4 wild Modications

Wild Modifications:

Exterior
*Color Change 1
*Headlight or taillight conversion
*Molded Wide Body 1
*Fully molded lip kit or body kit
*Over 50% of exterior is Carbon Fiber
*Carbon Fiber Roof
*Scissor Doors
*Lug Conversion
*Big Brake kit front and rear 1

Suspension
*Air Ride
*Hydraulics

Audio/Video

*Custom located Radio
*Monitors custom installed 1
*2+ Video game system
*7+ amp channels
*11+ speakers

Other One off Modifications:
* _____________________
* _____________________

As one can tell, there's a total of 4 Wild modifications -- putting the car into the "Mild" class. We didn't chose the class that the car would be placed in either.
