Smile 09 GTR offer from dealer.

ok so here is the story.

I was at the dealer getting oilchange this morning, and i was asking the saleman about the GTR just for fun. One thing lead to another the owner come out and told me that i could be the first 09 GTR owner in Ohio. The reason was i was a high value customer of the dealer for years for every service that my car needed. They want to see me have it first even before the reserve list people. I have to sign a contract with them that i cannot sell the car for finacial benifit and most likely i wont. They need $10000 down, and the rest is up to me. Price is at $69,850.00 and mock up price will be even $80,000.00 out the door. I am so excited , nervous at the same time. IS this seem to be a good deal? Should i do it? ALL i have to do is down payment and the order is in process. sorri for the long post.

Oh and that $80k figure includes a $5k markup if you figure 7% taxes/tag/title included.

well the onwer told me that it would be like $82 out the door. I can't take the car once it arrived . He have to display it for 30 days. He said he will sit down and we will built the car to my spec. I have all the information that NISSAN send to his in front of me right now. Yeah I am debating.

Is it even in the color you want? If so, then I say do it (as long as they don't screw you with mark-ups and extra "fees").

So you need to pay markup, but you cannot sell the car if you wish and cannot have the car for 30 days so it can sit in the showroom and have people all over it for a month de virginzing it?

Sounds like something fishy to me.
How much money could you bring into that place that he would screw other orders up to give you one first? I think he is full of ****.

Sounds cool, if you got the cash and want one. That would be sweet getting one before everyone on the reserve list too.

lol that's wat i said but he said every single one of them will be markup. Each certify GTR dealer invested more than $100k just to be certify. 50K lift system, 2 machanic to Japan to learn GTR tech, and a punch of other stuff he told me. Atmost 2 GTR per dealer.

If the dealer was trying to push you ahead of people already in line, I will have to call BS. These people who ordered one will kill if necessary to get thiers first (kidding...but not completely). If you are putting an order in now, you will be LUCKY to have it by September. I would make the dealer commit to a date and have him take off money when (not if) the car doesn't come in for months. Get it alllll in writing and approved by multiple people and the owner of the dealer....everyone else could be gone by the time your car comes in, the owner will always be there.

The "first one to get it; even before people on the list" piece is total BS from the dealership. If they had that many people lined up for it, they wouldn't need to go looking for buyers. I guess he is getting more cars than he has buyers and thus approached you. I personally would NEVER buy a car with a "market adjustment" mark up. It is utter nonsense.
