Cool Just called in to say hi

Was just checking my website reports and say referrals coming from here so I thought I'd check you out

I'm DaZee livining in Japan and got lead here by someone finding my Fairlady Z video from my website.

I drive (when I can ) a black 350z, Japanese version S, which is the sports version without the leather seats. My dealer made a mistake on the quote and I thought I was getting the Bose hi-fi, when the car was delivered without the hi-fi and I questioned the dealer they were very good. They could not give me the Bose system (something to do with the wiring loom for it being with the leather power seats) but they did install a nice 6CD changer for free

Anyways, other options I got installed were the mud guard body trim, front and rear Nissan spoilers, aluminium door plates, and the Fujitsuburo sports exhaust. Other than that she's pretty much stock. But just checking with the dealer now about a chip to remove the speed limiter and adds an extra 35hp without invalidating the Nissan warrenty.

Me and the car at Mt Fuji if you doubt my location

And a look at that sports exhaust in case it's not available where you are (makes great sound and puts the car to 294hp)

That's it for now. Just saying hi to everyone.

Welcome dazee.. It's nice to hear from an owner in japan.. I hope your enjoying your car as much as I am.. I was wondering if you can pass along the last 7 characters/numbers on your VIN. I was wondering if the cars sold in japan are numbered any different than the cars sold in the US. My cars last 7 are T001890.

Great photo of your car at Mt.Fuji. I had a chance to but a Fairlady Z when I was in japan in 1969. It was right hand drive and I was afraid it would be hard to drive on US roads.. I should have bought it.. I've owner 1970 and 1971 240Z and a 1974 260Z. great fun cars.. But.. the 350Z is a much better car..

Hope to hear from you soon..

Steve (k2we) Dobbs Ferry, NY 10277 miles since Sept 17th...

I'll have to be a dumbass and ask where the VIN number is, I&ve been riding bikes here for the last 6 years. Anyway cannot check yet as still in hospital.

I've enjoyed driving it alot so far, but the speed restritictor is annoying. I don't know if is the same where you are, but top speed is 188km/h. That's just 5000rpm in 5th, 6th gets no faster.

The Mt Fuji road is nice. Good mix of corners and straights, it is a private park, so no police or speed traps. Was fun going up it in the Z, but to be honest........going up there on a Hayabusa was even better Over 150mph then hard braking for a hairpin turn is such a rush. Getting another black Hayabusa next year to match the car

Welcome. I hope your hospital visit had nothing to do with throwing the Hayabusa into those corners.

Cool

Thankyou ! No my hospital stay (14 months and counting) was more to do with an old guy chatting to his passenger and running a stop light. Lucky to be here. The Z is part of the compensation I gave myself

That sounds like a tough way to get a Z but it appears you are on the mend. Please be a frequent participant here so that we can remain informed of the Z situation in Japan.

For sure I'll be hanging around and posting. I did that when I got the bike, found a board, joined the community, found out alot about what I had bought, what could be done, what was available etc. Made some good friends and contacts. It was also a community where people helped each other. I get to hear some things here that aren't in other places and vice versa.

If you check the links forum you will see I have some tuners links in there and what is available in Japan. Also an ISBN book number for the Fairlady (z32 z33) giving a whole list of tuners, dyno charts, accessory shops etc. It's in Japanese, but you can get the general idea of what they say. Has a nice listing of parts etc for both cars, also some nice examples of the cars. So far the the top power for the Z33 for tuning is about 450hp, while the older Z32 regularly gets anywhere from 600-900hp. Guess we just have to wait for the turbo version to come out. Shame it will be a 3.2L engine instead of the 3.5L
