i was wondering if (for those who have the book) that z book by ron sessions called "lust and love" that covered the making of the new z...i was thinking about getting my paws on one of those on ebay. is it worth it?

I ordered from Arlington Nissan in Buffalo Grove. They actually haven't been too bad, got me my tracking number, VIN and delivery date with a little nagging. I just don't expect them to do anything other than hand me the keys when I pick up the car.

Originally I ordered from Liberty Nissan in Libertyville...man do they suck!

I know somebody that knows somebody that knows somebody and now my order is coming from Star Nissan in Niles. They have been great. Night and day comparted to Liberty. I've been pissed at Liberty and they know it, and they still haven't called with any info, such as order number, I had to get that from NNA. Star, called me the moment they got the order number and then the moment they got the VIN and the delivery date.

 

All the pre-order customers in the state of Hawaii will be getting
a copy of " Lust then Love" as a gift from our distributor Nissan Motor Corp. of Hawaii. The cars are here and they are going to release them Tuesday to the dealers.

 

Tuesday the 20th of August seems logical to me. After all the launch date for the Z is August 19th. I don't think any Z's will be delivered before then.

 

Does anyone know if all Z pre-orders will get a copy of the book? Or is this just a regional thing?

I sent an e-mail to Courtesy, and they haven't heard anything about it. They already have 50 orders for the book.

I'm going to ask my dealer tonight.

When are you getting yours? Could it be possible for me to take a look when it arrives? Just really like to see the car before mine arrives in the winter (hopefully earlier).

The dealer told me Sept. 2, but I think he might be reading Sept '02 off the report. Either way, I've got a VIN so it should be sometime in Sept. I'll keep you posted and we'll go for a cruise. We can go grab a beer at The RAM or Bar Louie on Milwaukee Ave.

I received a call from my dealer a week ago asking me to stop by the dealership. The owner had attended the dealer show in San Diego earlier and I was told they had something to give me. I stopped in Saturday morning and they gave me a copy of "Lust Then Love".
It is a keeper, very well put together with great photos and well organized. Separate chapters for each feature of the Z, engine, chassis, interior, etc.

It might actually be Sept 2nd, even though that's a holiday. My dealer told me Sept. 4th.

Let's hope they are both right.

Hey Bruce,

I know you ordered from Arlington Nissan also. I sent Brad an email telling them not to attach the front license plate bracket. He confirmed that they would not put it on when he called me. You might what to do the same if you don't want the bracket installed.
