tires on track version?
Wearing out quickly doesn't mean they're "bad".
For instance, someone told me about tires on the original NSX wearing out real quickly. A quick search turned up this http://www.geocities.com/NapaValley/...ing-guide.html regarding the NSX "TIRES The fronts last reasonably well and can usually see 12000 miles, but rears wear out in no time. The best you can hope for is 6000, but driven hard you may only get half that."

The tires on the Z a "summer" tires and only preform well in Temps over 50(under 40 they are hard as a rock). They are a soft compound and do wear fast. but what I think you are hearing is the Feathering issue and is not Caused by the tires but the Suspension, and eats up the tires fast
I think its safe to say the Z has issues between the car and the pavement.
the tires are sucky all around, and the suspension doesnt put them to the road properly apparently.
they are better than you standard tire tho, of course, but you can do better. in the cold... well the car bounces cause Im pretty sure the flat spot actually freezes into the tire for a little bit. its pretty horrible.
