true very true. the straight line performance seems normal to after a while. I remember how i used to shake if i came even close to flooring it, but now it seems somehow blunted. But in the corners it will always be exciting, a road course is just exciting in itself.

the car to me is still pretty exhilarating. i agree with the other members the straight line performance isn't as exciting as the first year of ownership but is still really fun to drive.

I get bored with car after a couple years, now i'm kinda itching to sell/trade my Z. So, far the Z is my 8th car already.....my gf been b*tching about trading in the Z saying that I spend so much $$ into it so why not keep it.

So now the Z is pretty much in my garage, I think that if I didn't drive it as often then I won't get bored too fast

I got my first 350Z in '03, loved it, but had to sell it for financial reasons while I was in college. 2 years later, after I graduated, I bought a new 350Z. And I love it just as much as I did my '03. So for me, the excitement never fades. I look forward to driving it every time

the reason being is that i could go with a smaller car (Toyota Yaris, for example) to get some gas mileage, but my reasoning is why spend all that money on a car that all its going to do for you is get some good mpg, and after 2-3 years it would be dullsville. why not spend more and get something that, after 2-3 years, you would still look forward to driving?

i already have a 1997 Hyundai Tiburon as my mpg car. it does have 119,000 miles but, knock on wood, seems to be running ok. my buddy up work has a 1990 Honda with 278,000 miles that he still uses as his DD.

just wondering what you other Z drivers think? do you still look forward to getting in the 350Z after a few years of ownership? or does that thrill even fade when a 350Z is involved?

thanks for any thoughts,
Mike

yes the car is still a thrill. too bad your stupid posts/threads are not. please go away until you actually buy a Z, until then you are just wasting bandwidth with your questions. better yet, go buy that Toyota instead, that seems more the proper car for you

back to ignore

Anyway, aside from that '80's throwback...I still love my Z. I will be going FI after I build my motor to enjoy it even more.

Still is a great car, just starting my fourth year in mine.

(Although I do admit to getting a bit Nismo envy)

your join date was April 2005, you have 19,000+ posts. thats 19,000+ posts in around 1,000 days, or an average of 19 posts a day, more or less.

forgive me for doing my utmost best to find out all i can about the 350Z before i decide to spend $35,000 dollars.

You're NOT getting the point. His posts take up little to NO bandwidth. Your Threads do however.

The majority of your questions could have been answered by using the search feature.

Believe it or not but your same questions have been asked HUNDREDS of times already.

BTW he's only made 56 Threads in "around 1000 days". You have made 14 threads in 15 days.

i search on things that i am interested in, but i dont find any threads. perhaps i am searching wrong? for example, i typed in San Marino Blue the other day and it came up empty in the search.

so, sorry, but i dont know what else to do? i am zeroing in on a 350Z, and i dont want to leave any stones unturned. therefore, the only thing i know to do is to ask questions about each individual specific topic in an effort to give the topic maximum recognition.

i guess if i make a few mad, so be it.
