Small town. And the kid is a snobbish little brat.
I just came back to this thread because I realized I was thinking the wrong thing, . I was thinking ZR1, not Z51, haha. Big difference. Sorry!

Porsche 959 (that car is CRAZY).
GT-3 (996 imported German model, before they came out here).
Bentley Azure (like driving a boat)
I've driven plenty of other cool cars but these three come to mind.

Just noticed your request...

1. C5 ASP-prepped Corvette Z06. Most amazing car I have ever driven! Suspension was softer than expected, but this one got almost all of its power to the ground with ease. It changed direction like a cartoon, and the brakes felt like they could stop time itself.
2. C6 (08') SS-prepped Corvette Z06. Great power, and good handling. It probably would have been a little better W/O the electronic nanny. The owner put it in "competitive" driving mode, but I thought it was still a little too intrusive. Oh, and I the sound of that thing was/is perfect. If I close my eyes, I can still hear it.
3. APS TT Extreme SM2 prepped 350Z. Wow. Just wow. The power delivery was silky smooth and, no matter what RPM, always more than the (racing)tires could handle if you weren't careful. The JIC coilovers did a great job and the car's reflexes were razor-sharp.
4. STU prepped 350Z. This is my Z and it's just about where I want it. RS-R springs, hotchkis sways, SSR 16lb wheels, 615's, and a Quaife differential all add up to good balance and quick steering. The HPS brake pads have crappy bite but the car still stops as well as with stock pads. It just takes a little more leg-effort. The 615's are good for street tires, but I still miss my MX's. as soft-in-the-sidewall as they were, they gave more grip (when hot) than the 615's and just got better and better with heat.
5. STU prepped STi. This is my brother's car. He's running KW coilovers and RE-01 tires have combined to make his car feel a little lighter than my Z. (That thing was slow to change direction with the stock suspension, but no longer) You have to bring it into corners just a hair slower than my Z, but you can also get into the throttle a lot sooner and harder on the way out.
6. C6 Corvette (Stock) Good car, but it wouldn't "talk" to me. I always felt like it could do more but I couldn't get a feel for how much more.
6a. Bone stock 07 350Z. Similar to my Z with a little less traction and a little more body roll. Also a little more power. Its biggest advantage on course over my Z was the ability to stay in gears longer and use the extra power at the top of the taller tach..
7. Bone stock Magnum SRT-8. That thing had great power and very good handling (for a car of this size.)
7a. Bone stock RX-8. I was able to stay at the top of the tach and never had a problem with a lack of low end grunt. Suspension was softer than expected but also very forgiving. It changed direction better than a stock Z.
7b. Mustang, Shelby GT package. Another big car that surprised me. Good power and good handling. 2nd gear seemed taller than my Z and it had enough torque to use all of it. (even near the bottom)
7c. Vortech SC SM2-prepped 350Z. Great power but poor delivery. It felt stock until I got near the middle of the tach. Then it felt like I was being attacked by 100-150 angry horses. Difficult to feed throttle out of turns. The Nismo suspension felt like a better version of my stock suspension. A little quicker and a little sharper.
^^

A few of my favorites from recent memory. (#4 is my Z) and all those listed above were on a track.

These were not on a track, but still fun.

8. 240Z. I wish my dad still had this rust-bucket. Great handling car. Very easy to control.
9. Z32 300ZX TT. Great power. Good handling.
10. Z32 300ZX N/A. Decent power. good handling
11. 89' Trans Am "Formula". Loads of power, good handling.
12. 94' Trans am. Good power. not so good handling.
13. 78' Corvette. This one is not stock. Decent power, good handling.
14. 05' C6 Convertible Corvette. Same as the other C6 above.

I know I'm leaving some good ones out...

I have driven
2003 pontiac ws6--- very nice, put your *** in the seat

1994 supra (Passenger)-- great drive, attention getter even for its age!

acura GS-R and Type-R- hands down the most fun i have driven with front wheel drives. acually I miss my gs-r.

Skyline r33-- got to drive one at work not for much time, but it felt nice and sounded cool, got alot of attention and i only drove it for a mile or two.

evo-- It was ok but didnt like the seats.
