I read autoblog and Edmunds daily at work to try and keep up with the cutting edge in car news and cure the bordem streaks. After reading about the Challenger EVERY FRICKEN DAY, I am frankly quite tired of hearing about its lackluster performance. Let me break it down to those who Dodge has not brainwashed yet:

0-60 mph: 4.9 seconds
¼ mile: 13.7 seconds
0-100-0 mph: under 17 seconds
60-0 mph: 110 feet

The HR Z is right there with it....100 hpr less. The 370Z is going to hand it it's azz on a platter with 50 hpr less. Am I the only one who thinks this car is a waste of money???

 

i like the charger srt-8 it looks sweet as hell

Yeah, I think that the charger srt8 looks sick. But I really dont know how it would match against the HR Z. It does look like a weighs alot. But if I wasnt such a Z enthusiast I would consider that or the GTO.

 

My last ticket was issued from a undercover detective who rode on black pimped out SRT Charger!!! hate'em!!!

 

1: the charger was brought back to excite those who had em as teens and whatnot AND for the people who were too young to have em back in the day that admired them. plus i think dodge was shi*ttin bricks about there car sales

2: the SRT 8 edition is kinda like the superbee "conecpt" but faster (i think or im an idiot) either way, it's just a performance upgrade

3: The SRT 8 looks sick. black on black....it's definatly an aggressive looking car.

its deff a nice car. the srt8 is sweet. i couldnt see myself in one but its deff a nice car.

I guess I'm one of the only people who really doesn't like the car or the weaksauce performance

 

the body style of the Z versus american made crap.. and yea frickin police.. In charlotte, Nc there is a blue 350z that is a undercover cop..

 

i test drove one feels like a damn boat. i believe they weight in at close to 4700 lbs so yeah they are heavy.

 

I agree with you. Infact I thought the same when I read about it in Car and Driver. It really is a big let down and then theres the interior.....

So you are sick and tired of hearing about the car, yet you invested the time to do all the reading up on it, then spent even more time making this thread about it, including your copy/pasting of stats.

 

The Challenger will not bring back the thrill of the 1970s when gasoline was 40 cents/gallon.
